More Toney...he was knocking heads off. That is the only knock on Mayweather...he never went for the kill in the big fights. I disagree. Corrales, Hatton, Gotti...he went for the kill.

I DON’T KNOW ABOUT THE 50 EVER GREATEST ‘CAUSE YOU HAVE TO NOT BE BIAS BY SIMPLY PUTTING IT DOWN FOR THOSE FROM THE U.S. OF A.

MAYBE YOU SHOULD BREAK IT DOWN INTO WEIGHT CLASS / CATEGORY

OR MAYBE YOU SHOULD BREAK IT DOWN INTO “NATIONALITY”

LIKE FROM MY MEXICAN POINT OF VIEW, THESE ARE FROM MY TOP OF THE LIST, BUT THERE’S A WHOLE BUNCH MORE

SALVADOR (CHAVA) SANCHEZ
JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ (SR)
RICARDO (FINITO) LOPEZ
OMAR (MATA GIGANTES) NINO
HUMBERTO (CHIQUITA) GONZALEZ
JORGE (TRAVIESO) ARCE
GUSTAVO (GUTY) ESPADAS
JULIO (LA SOMBRA) ZARATE
RAUL (RATON) MACIAS
RUBEN (PUAS) OLIVARES
ALFONSO (TORO) ZAMORA
JOSE (BATTLING SHAW) PEREZ
JOSE (MANTEQUILLA) NAPOLES
JOSE (PIPINO) CUEVAS)
ALBERTO (BABY) ARIZMENDI
JORGE (MAROMERO) PAEZ
JAVIER (CHATITO) JAUREGUI
MARCO ANTONIO (ASESINO) BARRERA
LUIS RAMON (YORI BOY) CAMPAS
ANTONIO (TORNADO) MARGARITO
ERIK (TERRIBLE) MORALES
ISRAEL (MAGNIFICO) MARQUEZ
RAUL (DIAMANTE) MARQUEZ
OSCAR (CRY BABY) DE LA HOYA
JUAN MANUEL (DINAMITA) MARQUEZ

BUT THE LIST CAN GO ON AND ON., I CAN TAKE IT OVER A HUNDRED WARRIORS E’Z

The HW division is so watered down it is crazy. These dudes are dividing a pie that is half baked. I would not even add Lennox Lewis to an all time list. After Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, the HW division has been complete garbage. Not blaming the Klitschkos or HBO...it just is what it is. The money and best fighters today are in the LW through Super MW divisions.
I absolutely agree with you. HW is dead, it's just some kind of money-making-entertainment-show. I've been to a Klitschko-Fight and you could tell by the audience that it wasn't about boxing at all. Ppl were posing, went for the merchandise and enjoyed the celebrities. The actual fight was minor matter. If you compare this with events were the crowd is keen on the match, well, it's LW or even other sports like MMA.

btw: If the Klitschkos are so fed up about finding no real opponents, why not step in the octagon? I'd love to see Vladimir against Velasquez. Na, just kidding ...

The older brother is leaving and running for President in Europe.

In all honestly, a top tier boxer will kill an MMA guy. Even Dana White admits this. The only way a top tier boxer loses is if he gets taken down to the ground.

And that's the point: Stand and bang doesn't work in MMA. Every fight goes to the ground sooner or later. And this is where the Boxer is gonna lose. Believe me, no Boxing-only fighter will make it in the octagon.

That is why no real boxers go to the Octagon

All those washed up boxers that have tried get their asses beat when they hit the ground. Their is generally a mutual respect between boxers and MMA guys...don't let Mayweather fool you. Alot of the MMA guys that work on their stand up game go to boxing coaches in Vegas or LA. I think Dana White was a boxer back in the day.

Well, to give the boxers my props: Boxing is basic knowledge, u can barley make it without it. But it takes a lot more to be a great fighter. U can't tap out on the streets, right?

Hey, there have been a lot of washed up "fighters" who tried to make it in the octagon. Brock Lesnar did it with a lot of success. Kimbo Slice did it like a flash in the pan. And do you remember Bob "The Beast" Sapp?

James Toney and a heavyweight got his ass beat too. There was an interview with Dana White talking about Mayweather and how he would dominate UFC if he was in it. Spider Silva looks up to Roy Jones for his boxing and footwork. Boxing/Striking, Wrestiling and Jujitsu are the primary disciplines for MMA right?

I remember Toney vs Couture, that was horrible. Not long ago, It wasn't MMA but Kickboxing, Riddick Bowe got stopped by his opponent.

Ex boxer Ray Mercer beat Sylvia by KO.

To improve their hands Georges St. Pierre, Andre Arlovski, and Tito Ortiz trained with Freddie Roach . Anderson Silva sparred at the Wild Card gym. It was rumored that Silva and Jones were going to fight, but Dana White didn't want that to happen.

Nick Diaz use to spar Andre Ward.

Dana did box when he was younger.

When you first wrote your list I had a response but it got all screwed up, so I just deleted it. I'll respond soon.

ashley sexton ironed him RIGHT out lol...you can see him grin and touch his trainers fist just as the ref brings the two of them together, like *am i ever gonna make this geezer look like a right fuckin plum*

these young asian british boxers trying to be naseem hamed, i remember when he came in on a flying carpet lol, its very very rare for me to want to see a british boxer beaten but i hated that arrogant prick...when barrera broke him down over the whole 12 rounds and he never fell, he just got battered solidly lol...

and yet - he was a talented boxer, if he hadnt split up with his trainer brendan ingle who helped mold him into the fighter that he was, and replaced all his team with family and yes men, who knows what he could have achieved? terrible wasted opportunity, his reflexes were superb, extremely heavy handed and threw punches from all angles, he was pretty tough as well when needed, he got up from a few knockdowns and although he didnt have an answer for barrera, barrera never put him away...this is what happens when you truly believe all your own hype and BS, terrible shame, naseem always said he was gonna be as big as ali - his hero, the first proud muslim at the top of the boxing game - but his ego ruined any chance of that

not only that once he lost he was broken, there was no determination to figure out what went wrong and beat the champion who beat him, he just folded and disappeared into nothingness...i seen a picture of him not so long ago, he looks like a fat taxi driver, tragic really...

this is not racist btw, i rate amir khan, despite the fact hes chinny, hes got more dedication than naseem ever had, unfortunately not as much talent...

Does anyone think this list needs to be modified now that Mayweather has retired undefeated. There are still some I disagree with..I just can't see Msyweather beating Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler or Thomas Hearns..Mayweather even in his prime would have gotten overwhelmed by any of those guys..
