Zombification is the pagan version of resurreciton from the dead. If there is no Messiah (except maybe the State); and there is no atonement for sin (except maybe the Penetentiary); and there is no Final Resurrection from the dead (except maybe self-exertion that brings about self-righteousness); then there can only be half-animated rotting zombies.
It's funny to me how much Christian influence there is in so many "Zombie" movies. You have a quasi-resurrection from the dead brought on by some external influence (nuclear waste, etc.), and these half-dead people come back to torment the living for all their sins. The living have committed some grave sin that needs to be atoned for, so the dead rise again to kill and destroy through some kind of un-Holy War.
Death and resurrection has been so ingrained in our culture because we live in a baptized Christian culture. It's inescapable. A baptized culture is a Christ haunted culture. Hence the need for true fiction about zombies, or something akin to it. As a wise man named Gilbert once said, "Truth is always stranger than fiction, only because fiction is always according to our own understanding."
Just straight thuggin' it up in hea. . .yo!

Yo man, I used to see zombies all the time in my hood. . .
especially friday night -- saturday morning
HE HE HE, nah ~~> back to serious . . . Zombies are supposed to be
somewhere between the dead and the living. The practice of Zombification
are attached to some of the rituals practice is areas like West Africa, Brazil
and Hispaniola (Haiti/Dominican Republic). Voodoo witchcraft some would
call it. In Mexico, some forms of it are attached to Santeria, a mixture of
African, Native-American/Mexican & Roman Catholocism, all rolled up into
one crazy ass cult. . Zombies are said to be normally the victims of some-
ones evil minded jealousy or the victims of those who covets something
from their victims ~~> such as land or and inheritance. These Zombies
are said to be given some sort of spell or poison that puts them in a trance
and to give the apperance of having died, even doctors are said to have
been fooled into the belief that the person was dead. The fact that Zombies
are indeed a part of both superstitious folklore and religious practice, and
many cases have been brought forth as proof of its true existance, spurred
the scientifiec, medical and pharmaceutical community into the search for
its veracity and a quest for obtainig the poison which is said to be used to
make zombies out of people. This dude went on a seach and was able to
find and buy (after much trial and failure) a recipe from the voodoo doc's
and in that potion, there was the inclusin of such venoms such as that from
a very toxic typre of toad and the puffer fish as well. This powder like
venom was sprinkled on the dirt entry way to a peasants hut/house and
the bare foot person os said house, upon walking thru and stepping on
this dusty/powdery venom ~~> would fall ill and eventually die from it.
But people around did not know what this person would fall ill of, and they
attributed the sickness and death to "zombism". After the person was dead
and buried, the culprit who then go back to the gravesite at night & unbury
the suppodsedly dead person and then inject them with the anti-dote, but
when the person came back to the world of the living, the person remained
in a vegetative state because of the damage done to the brain by the og
poison, therefore, even though the person was alive, his brain was stayed
in a retard state, hence the reasons for being called Zombies "living dead"
This research was documented in a book titled "The Serpent & The Rainbow"
later it was made into a movie, but the movie did not come even close to
the book. Anyhows, I found it real interesting. Thought you might too.

Which, when translated means, "Until the high priests of modern secularism can concoct a magic potion capable of resurrection, or eternal life." Just remember, atheistic science is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. [I think Someone else said something similar one time ]Sentenza wrote:Do you mean racists?Lonewolf wrote:Truth or Fiction?

Science will never find a way to eternal life, because the gods of science are like one-legged gangstas trying to run a 100-mile marathon from the Po-pos.

That's basically the same argument that some claim to be the realjohnnnny wrote:it was a joke but you never knowfrozen fire wrote:Jesus seeked the help of God..not black magic and withcraft.johnnnny wrote:what about lazorus from the bible mabye he was a zombie and jesus was into some voodoo
behind the LORD JESUS resurrection. That he did not die, but was given
some sort of anestesia or something similiar when He was given to drink
from that wet cloth that was raised up to his lips when He was up on the
cross. Suppodsedly, that accounts for both; 1) His death coming so quick
upon the cross, when others who had undergone crussifixion lasted days;
and 2) Since He was merely in a state of deep sleep (kinda like zombies)
when he woke up, He was then able to walk out of the tomb with some help
from his followers.
In regards to Black Magic and Witchcraft . . . What is either one of these?
Rituals, symbols, recitations, spells, encantations, some geared for evil
doing, others something else. Practitioners of these arts can be labeled
or termed as practicing CULTISTS, and many cults have come to existance
through out the centuries and millenias. Many cults have cone and gone,
many more have remained obscured and sinister, others have been sent
undergroud by prohition laws stemming from social or religious sectors.
Nevertheless, many one time cults have not only survived time and trials,
but have also become accepted practices & even Religions themselves.
Case example: JUDAISM & CHRISTIANITY.

That's what we call the addicts here. They sniff glue and drink mouthwash and walk around in a daze not knowing where they are or what day it is. They rarely speak and when they do it's more of a groan. They honestly look like zombies, they can barely walk and are oblivious to their surroundings.Old Shatterhand wrote:The only zombies I've encountered are addicts.

Yeah....and KETAMINE - that stuff makes peeps into Zombies for sure, and popular among Travellers/anarchist squatters/punky types/nouveau rock kids (Pete Doherty aspirants) - tried it one time at a scuzzy hard core squat party - and it was like I left myself and watched myself chatting breeze from outside my own body - the outside 'me' was observing what the 'breeze chatting me' was banging on about.....after the party, I walked through HAckney on a rain swept Feb early morning, plastic bags blowing down the street like an no-horse western shittthole, and reflected....fuccc, makes peeps into zombies...that was at least ten years ago. Peeps bring it into UK dissolved into Rosewater from India, they then evaporate the rosewater to get the Ketamine powder.....Zombie drug.

Up here it's that firewater. Anything with alcohol in it. Back in Edmonton it was crack and meth but up here it's mostly alcohol and some crack.Christina Marie wrote:Meth/IceLonewolf wrote:So which drogas would you say claim the most zombies?EmperorPenguin wrote:That's what we call the addicts here.
