What European people is practising its ancestral religion (pagangism, nature worship, polytheism)?
What African American people are practising their ancestral religion (animism, ancester worship, voodoo)? Maybe a few, but not many.
Why are you picking on Mexicans?

There are a few countries that embraced catholicism willingly, but most were forced. That includes most European countries. "Converted by the sword" they called it. Islam, the same.

Anyhow,I'm sure very little practice their old ways due to the whole colonization and convert thing...

and by ancestral religion you do mean indigenous,right?
