A low buget film made in SoCal enrages Muslims in Libya

Postby alexalonso » September 13th, 2012, 1:25 pm

I heard the Ambassador of the US for Libya was killed along with three others (they never say their names) because some Muslim extremists, hate filled muslims, are made about how Muhammad was depicted in a low budget film.

I think it is time to depict Muhammad for what he really was. These Arabs are only mad because they know in due time their entire belief system, which was force fed to them, can be turned upside down.

You give the middle east democracy and the freedom to choose your own religion, in 100 years that religion would loose most of its followers.

Has anyone seen the film. I heard it was poorly done.

A cartoon that was critical of Muhammad was the precursor to Middle East violence last year.

I just saw the film. It's unbelievable the muslims can get so mad about something like this. They take every opportunity to rage at the western world and show their enormous hatred towards us.
We should get the hell out of all the muslim-countries and get off the oil.

@ Atilla- You hit it dead on comrade! I'm sick of us apologizing for anything that comes out about Islam. I try to respect everyone and their beliefs, but many Muslims often say negative things about Christianity and America and no one ever apologizes for them. I agree with you, let's get off the oil and leave them alone, and see how long it takes for them to destroy themselves.

You are probably right, but a lot of Americans are tired of this and are putting pressure on the government to stop paying these countries and spend that money on Americans. Inevitably it will happen, we may not be around to see it.

Well, i saw Obama on David Letterman last night and not only did he say he wants to invest in other, cleaner sources of energy so the USA could get off foreign oil, he also said he warned the muslim-world that violent reactions can not be tolerated and that they will have to respect freedom of speech and different opinions, no matter how offensive.

This is how 'our' president of the European Parliament responded ...like a little schoolboy, doing the exact opposite of Obama.

This is really disturbing....Here in Europe all hope seems lost...

I dont think the Mulsim world understands the notion of "Free Speech" so if an idiot makes an offensive movie, these Arabs are going to blame the American government. Obama even requested that Youtube, take "a look" at the film, in other words, "can you please remove it" but Youtube said that they will not remove it.

I think the Muslim outrage at this insignificant movie was pretext for a realer, more organized effort to strike US-related bases in the Middle East on the date 9/11.

Supposedly the general discontent with US foreign policy in the Muslim world was kind of 'hi-jacked' by more organized radical Islamist groups. This happened in Mali and in other countries in Africa I believe. Think of when the Occupy Wall Street rally in Oakland turned violent because of black rag 'Anarchist' groups that often infiltrate and hi-jack an otherwise peaceful demonstration. I think this happened at a much larger and more significant scale in Libya and Egypt. The date of 9/11 is too significant to be a coincidence, and I believe reference was made to the date in America's history on a number of occasions.

All that to say, this little low budget film from a questionable unknown source was circulated purposefully by the Arab media, maybe a long time prior to 9/11. Did it work like gasoline on a flame? Yes. But gasoline doesn't burn WITHOUT a flame.

The reason why the Qur'ans were burned was because they were desecrated. By whom u may ask. The Muslims themselves, by writing messages in them 2 other inmates. So the US in accordance w/ Islamic law was doing the right thing: destroying desecrated i.e graffiti laden Qur'ans. Then as a consequence of the US' political correctness................. came the murders of which u just spoke on Zo. The word got out by the Afghani 'contractors' who worked on the base who saw what was transpiring. And from what I hear I think only 2 or 3 Qur'ans were burned.

When Bush was in office in '09 cases upon cases of New Testaments were burned by the US govt. the same way in Afghanistan. Soldiers were going 2 distribute the NTs written in Punjabi and Pashto 2 villagers who wanted them. They were paid 4 w/ privately not with tax payers dollars & Uncle Sam lit a torch 2 hundreds or perhaps thousands of undesecrated New Testaments. Why u may ask. Because of political correctness. But that time nobody was MURDERED.

I don't believe anyone has yet to see the actual full length movie, and I highly doubt it exists in it's entirety. It's a 14 minute laughable, low budget trailer. All this crazy violence aside, the only part that bothers me is that someone(director, producer, editor, one in the same...) clearly dubbed over certain parts of this movie with other lines. The one actress in it claims that the Muhammed character was actually named "George" in the script and all the actual acting. If you watch the trailer itself, every time someone speaks his name you can see they are saying "George" and it was dubbed over. They were totally unaware of what this movie was really about and now someone has put all these actors and actresses in harms way for their own gain.

If u mean here in the States a few years ago, yeah. That white pastor- don't know his name- down if Florida I believe. I don't know if he's a religious zealot or not. I believe my man just wanted 2 exercise his 1st Amendment rights. He definitely didn't murder anybody though. He didn't do it the 1st time. Obama came out & voiced his opposition over that 1. Had somebody burned or wanted 2 burn Bibles it wouldn'tna been a problem......
