Helm's bakery / donut truck in South Los Angeles during 1960s

Unread post by alexalonso » April 14th, 2017, 3:08 am

Does anyone know any stories about the yellow Helms donut truck that used to roll all around the neighborhoods of LA? If you grew up in the 1960s in Los Angeles you most likely saw these vans in the streets.

Also the "we accept food stamps" on the side suggests that they catered to low income neighborhoods so they were in alot of LA's ghettos.
