From what I've experienced that's the same everywhere across the globe. Slower paced lifestyle and whatnot. More traditional views.

Heh I know. Same goes with New Yorkers. One taxi cab driver almost ran over this Serbian guy my brother worked with and told him to go fuck himself yelling it out in window of his taxi cab because he got in his way while the guy was speeding a red light and it was the pedestrian's turn to pass. Talk about being assholes.

Another guy my father worked with, Trent, he told my dad to shut the fuck up. My dad doesn't like that. The guy unexpectedly died of a crack overdose a few weeks after my dad left the job.

That's the culture right there. You just have to show more teeth. Most of the people who show off this culture by being assholes are themselves nothing but pussies and all you need to do is show your not afraid. Craziness and extreme aggression always works. Someone is talking crap? Take a chair and throw it at them and yell at the same time in a war like cry and they should run away like a little bitch. There is always someone stronger than you. There is even someone stronger than the strongest.

America could've been the best or worst country in the world for EVERYONE. For most people, it's the worst, especially for immigrants. For a very small fraction, it's the best, especially for businessmen who love to exploit it's enormous economic freedom. I know I would...

Americans, the most hated people that exist?

In my extensive experience, the US is full of the most stupid brainwashed people I've ever met. There's a few that aren't, but they live abroad, or at the very least own a passport and have left the their insular care-free lifestyle long enough to take off their rose tinted indoctrinated inward-looking glasses.

They will no doubt see this as a 'jealous stab' at their childish indoctrinated idea of how wonderful they are. A green-card rejection or perhaps I've never experienced 'True Freedom'.

Has the brainwashing gone too far? If so, What can we do to make sure they're not left unsupervised?

I am interested in Intelligent Americans responding (hopefully) or other keen observers of the horrifying reality of the situation.

Read Michael Moore's Stupid White Men and therein lies the answer. Most Americans have no idea what is happening right under their own noses to their own country and then they try and tell others what is happening and the reasoning for it half way across the world when most have never left the town they where born in let alone borders.
I have nothing at all against Americans they cannot be blamed for the actions of a man who stole the presidential seat in the first place but I wish they would stop saying we are jealous of what they have. You also have to acknowledge the fact that Baghdad's Airport even to this day has a terminal just for Yugoslavian citizens and one for citizens of all countries, and that we got let into Greece no problem while Bulgarians were not let in at that time. This is bad??? Like if I yell out I'm an American in the middle of a crowded Belgrade street and get my ass killed??? I was just a little kid back then, and I was living in Macedonia, our government being with Serbia at the beginning of the wars, sent out 5,000 soldiers in trains over to the warzones, we lost 50 soldiers I think it was because one train made it to the warzones while the rest were stopped by this politician before they departed.

I remember collecting these leaflets dropped each week over this open field beside my buildings, and nearby my neighbourhood maybe a mile away was a military base or something, I also remember collecting AK47 7.62mm shells that were all over my building's parking lot and elsewhere cause of the soldiers firing for fun and shit. Besides that we have a military officer or someone in high command out of the enlisted ones living in my building, Robi the guy who owns the cable company also lived in my building and I remember him coming with this red jeep from time to time.

My dad worked in the high schools around town as an art professor, and was pretty well damn known. My grandfather(mother's father) was a military officer in charge of the whole recruitment division for my side of the country during the time of Yugoslavia, and when the Cuban Missle Crisis occoured, he was sent out along with tens of thousands of other Yugoslav soldiers to the Slovenian border in case the Soviet Union invaded this half of Europe. My dad was in the army, my uncles etc as it was conscription back then.

During the wars it was fucked, I don't remember much I remember we couldn't afford a VCR player but we lived pretty good. In 1999 we left for Canada.

I remember UN peacekeepers everywhere we went, especially I remember with my 2nd cousin at this wedding and this UN military helicopter there, these American soldiers buying porn or something from this seller guy, I was scared to go near the helicopter but my 2nd cousin kept urging me, eventually I saw nothing was gonna happen so I went a bit close until one of those soldiers yelled at me to get away from the helicopter and my 2nd cousin pulled me away.

It hasn't changed much. I went to Skopje last Saturday with some friends, Albanians galore, they are basically white people that speak another language, there's alot of them everywhere, and they speak the same language, has to be Albanians. I was talking to my friends about some thing we were sitting infront of Ramstore or something this shopping mall, this guy spoke to me in Macedonian he's like what, I'm like nvm I wasn't talking to you and then he turned back to his friend and they got up and another language, has to be Albanians. We did have a problem with this one Albanian kid, he commented on my best friend's leg and my best friend got pissed but he obviously couldn't say anything, we were on the town square, there was this gypsy asshole routinely beating his little kids with a stick infront of like 300 people on the town square, and there was a bridge that headed to the Old Bazaar, then to Bit Bazaar, then to Cair(the equivelent of the Red zone in Iraq with AK47 wielding Albanians and UCK at nearly every corner, a mixed ghetto taking from the styles of the Middle East, Eastern Europe and the Balkans). My friend got pissed he said this is the reason I don't want Albanians in Macedonia, he said it out loud and he used the dregatory word 'shiptar' so there was a danger.

As I said, people want to live their lives, not kill eachother if Albanians and Macedonians meet eachother in the middle of the street.

I was out tonight, yet again, typical Saturday night at the Forum Nightclub/Cafe/Coffee Bar, boring as hell and chilling followed by complete and total anarchy with everyone being drunk and disorderly, a glass or bottle or two breaking each minute, dancing around and singing, fights breaking out with 30 people breaking them up, except tonight it was different --- some girls we knew cried and the waiters actually came up to us to tell us to stop breaking shit. I used to shit myself to the sound of glasses breaking, but now it's routine.

This is my 12 pm, this is what woke me up:

It wasn't firecrackers, it was actually gunfire and explosions.

My grandma came in told me not to worry I'm like bitch get the fuck out of the room I'm fine you just wake me up more.

So I sleep, rapid gunfire by AK47's, stops. I fall asleep again, 10 seconds later, gunfire again.

I think they were celebrating how the Partizans liberated Stip(my town) from the Germans on Nov. 8th back then.

It was not a scary sound, it was more...interesting. It wasn't revolting, it was exciting, fun...

Sometimes I get the feeling that my aunt(mother's sister) went to work for the police because of my father.

My grandma(mother's mother) isn't too fond of my father being my mother's husband, not now, and never was before. They've gotten into pretty fucked up shit.
