I didn't know where else to post this. What is the cost of living out there. What can you expect to pay for rent. No matter where. How much do jobs pay?

Minimum wage is $6.75

you have snow in northern cal? in ny im use to a few snow storms a year. but if i did move to cali, it would probably be somewhere relitavley close to LA at first, until i got enough money to move into a nicer area, or until i was done working, then back to NY.

I like Palm Trees. Plus our industrial plants give off smog so I know what that is like. It f#cking stinks and it's always hazy. I like hot weather. You try shoveling 3 feet of snow. LOL

LOL! I don't have access. HA HA HA! Ummm I would like to live inside the city. I would like to live in an area that was mixed with a lot of culture. I'm not worried about the crime. Any big city has it. I don't want to say the job I'm looking for because I don't want to piss anybody off.

There are many cool areas to live in, that's the beauty of L.A. Many fools that live have no idea what's inside this city due to never leaving their neighborhood. There are many good communities here. You can pm me if you further assistance.

Los Angeles is a great city, if you want it to be. It's the best of the best and also the worst of the worst. It all depends on what side of the see-saw you want to sit in.

I'm not really sure if this is a fair question for some. Many people grew up in L.A., and have no idea what this city is about past there block.

There is so much to take advantage of in L.A.

The number one thing is the weather.
*Beaches (free)
*State Parks (usually free)
*Museums (usually free)
*Festivals around the city several times a year (free)
*Mountains (hiking/picnics..free)

*Multi ethnic restaurants/Cafe's/Coffee houses.
*Theatre/Cinema's
*Nite clubs/Martini bar's
*Live music (national acts weekly)
*Adult sport leagues through out the city
*Kid leagues throught the city
*Ski/snow board (winter months...90mins outside L.A.)
*Surf/boogie board, swim (summer months)

This is just to name off the top of my head. The weather permits SoCal residents to do lot's of activity year round.'

Those that want to get in the G lifestyle, well that's here for you too.



Usually the more conservative areas are the more expensive areas

Yeah I've heard that South Central is Mini Bahgdad but I'm sure it's just like any other city. It's probably just the media. I just hate those areas that have nothing going on. It's not like I'm a die hard ghetto fan. I just like the buzz of the city. What is East LA like? Do all of the people in LA hate the cops. I hate fake ass suburbanites. I hate the racism.

L.A. suburbs for the most part is pretty cool. It's not like other state's where you have one people on one side of the tracks and other people on the opposite side. People live where they want to live, and it's all good, if you can afford it.

That is EXACTLY how it is here. Million dollar houses on one side of the tracks and housing projects on the other side. LITERALLY. There is SOOOO much racism here.

nah. your better off walking down the street than driving. trust me, a few weeks ago i got stuck on vermont in some traffic i was about to have a heart attack. of course their is certain nieghborhoods that aint safe but its not as bad as you think.

I think it's gotten worse sad to say:-(, it sure hasn't guieted down.
Not sure about that comment of South LA having the most per capita of Fools.There's fools everywhere, only with more money.
The Traffic is a problem, just ask anybody stuck in traffic in LA lol.The weather is nice and sunny most of the time.I had enough of the rain during the first couple of months of this year.I love the California sunshine, i think blizzards would make me loose my mind.I'll stick with the earthquakes lol.

^^^Blizzards aren't too bad you just have to know how to drive a snow mobile!! LOL It's the shoveling that sucks as well as the driving. But when you've experienced driving through it all your life it becomes really easy to do. Just don't drive fast and you'll be good. And I figured it quieted down out there. I thought I saw statistics that showed something like that. And I heard that a lot of people are moving out also. Why?
