has anyone heard of a crew in smethwick, west bromwich near birmingham called the Raiders? they have an affiliation with the burger bar boys?

I know theres English people that is on ere but you aint on ere enough.

England now has over 30,000 people involved in street gangs. This is relatively few when compared to Los Angeles County (150,000). However the numbers are sadly growing.

Los Angeles County has 1.6% of its population involved with street gangs whereas Manchester has 0.5%.

Pit Bull Crew were broken down before last year. Pepperhill Mob is defunct/splintered. Main gangs today is Longsight, Doddington, Gooch, Cheetham Hill. Longsight seem to be the most ruthless lately wanting to take over everything.

Loads of offsprings and young versions of the gangs are around today, theres also a gang naming themselves the Beswick Crew. You got any info on Sheffield/Lancashire gangs?

Not sure if its been mentioned, as theres too many pages for me to get through, but the Old Firm has gotta be one of the biggest soccer rivalries.
Thers killings all the time, and peeps get beaten every day for wearing the wrong shirt. Thers even the team specific bars (Rangers and Celtic) wer the other teams supporters are always goin down an causin trouble.

There must be dangerous gangs over there. It's just that they are different than American gangs. They aren't wannabes, they just act differently than us so we automatically think they are soft. I wouldn't want to walk around a bad neighborhood over there unless I knew I would be safe.

All over the world there is crime, and VERY dangerous people. Now if these kids are watching American gangster movies like "Boys N The Hood" and they start to sag there pants and say American slang words then that is a different story. Those are the real wannabes. However I don't really think that happens a lot over there.

So yes I believe that England does have rough areas and gangs.

They are just different.

Killings dont occurr all the time. But yeah if your in the wrong shirt expect to get head butted to the ground. Theres a thread about football gangs in the organised crime section. Not sure if Glasgow has been mentioned on it yet

I think the major difference though in alot of Englands towns and cities is that kids dont have guns. Thats why homicide isnt so common. We use our hands and feet, occasionally a knife baseball bat and hammer..., but more often than not things get settled with hands and feet.

In my opinion this is better, its valid. Anyone can pull a trigger it aint hard. But if you do it your taking someones life and if you get caught you lose yours.

If you fight, you and your target are still alive at the end of the day and if you still got beef you can kick fuck out of him the next day aswell.

Thankfully for the majority of england what NW10 IS asying is right BUT the most worrying thing is in small pockets of inner london,liverpool,nottingham,manchester,birmingham,bristol where the gun is fast replacing the knife or baseball bat etc for young men.Shooting in and around southeast-london barely rate a mention in the local papers now.

South Manchester, St Anns and Meadows in Nottingham and Harlesden, Haringey, Hackney, Southwark and Lambeth in particular.

Nottingham actually had the highest rate of shootings per person in 2002/03. Its the smallest of all the cities affected by gun crime too.

The sad thing is shootings that do make the news now concentrate on young innocent victims like 7 year old Toni Ann Byfield and Charlene and Letisha girls in Birmingham.

Its all about the media and moral panic. Its like the media look for the worst stories to try and shock people, and it seems simple shootings do not shock anymore.
