Vargas Dulché created Memín Pinguín after visiting Cuba. Memín Pinguín was based on the littlle black kids she saw in Cuba. She loved Cuba and it's black people. She was Influenced by the explosive popularity of the Cuban radio soap operas she then began writing similar scripts for Mexican comic books.

Memin is basically a little black cuban kid. She did not create the character to demean black little kids. And, I find it ridicoulous that you black americans find it offensive but yet the blacks in mexico have no problem with the character.

If anyone should be pissed it's the black little cuban kids Memín was based on.
