StreetGangs.Com going to New Orleans

Unread post by Anonymous20 » September 7th, 2005, 4:28 pm

Street Gangs is packing up and going to New Orleans to assist in volunteering and relief efforts. We will be there for about 5 days. If you want to make a donation to assist in the relief efforts, click on the "make donation" image above.

We will be flying into Baton Rouge, Louisiana, then renting a small truck filled with water and canned foods to take those in New Orleans who have not evacuated and to those in the surrounding area who need some help.

When I get back I will be sure to let all of you know about the trip, will take plenty of photos and post them on the site somewhere.

Actually they accepted the help now, they were holding off on all the foreign aid last week due to the fact that they didn't even know how to utilize their own stuff (FEMA crapped up), much less a foreign aid.

But now they are getting things straightened out, and this is the first time since 1846 that Mexican troops are in the US.

Good Luck alonso.

At my community service they set up a Red Cross fund, and I will donate more on my own, I ecourage everyone to do the same.

I am back from my trip to New Orleans, and what an experience. Six days of seeing near complete destruction and damage of a city. Also there are so many rumors and myths going on about the disaster. Perhaps this is not the string to bring that up on, but just to let everyone know I made it back and saw more than the media can show.
