Reyed Pachuco Cross
Reyed Pachuco Cross
Is the Reyed cross found between the thumb and forefinger common with younger eses nowadays.
Alot of Veteranos have them, but are younger
eses getting inked with this still.
Those of you who don't know, I'm talking about a tattoo of a cross with 3 rays extending from the top.

The 3 rays represent the same as the 3 dots, and there is 2 places that you would normally stamp the lil' cross. (1) In the web area between your thumb and your index finger, or (2) In-between your eyebrows - as in the pachuco style.
3 rays = "MI VIDA LOCA" (My Crazy Life) right next and atop the cross in representing the hoped-for/sought-out protection and forgiveness by "CHUCHITO" (Lord Jesus) in the old-school traditional style.
Some Varrios also used to paste up on their wall-placas "a block styled cross." They spray painted it or brush painted on the walls, and inside of it - they would put in their Varrio name or some other affiliated info.
It's a trip that you brought up this question, because just the other day a young vato asked me about it and was interested to know what it meant and how it originated, because some other vatos who he knows have it stamped.

I have one on my left hand. It's a common first tattoo for aspiring young cholos. It's easy to do yourself with india ink and a sewing needle.
