does anyone remember something espn did a while ago about gang members in the nfl and high school teams being family on field/court and then being enemies on the block? they were interviewing nfl coaches who talked about and knew that some of their players were or still are banging.

hey ace2, thats rigt bro. i cant remem name but one of the dolphins was a swan. sports illustrated ran an article about 10 or so years ago about washington or crenshaw high whose players were crip/blood but were on the same teams. they were solid on the field loss, cried and won TOGETHER but once off the field they would go back to bangin.

it was on ESPN in the 1990s, maybe around 1997 or 1998, but I never did see the program and I am still trying to find a copy of it. Does anyone know how to get a copy of it?

i saw that shit ,espn tryin to show links wtih LA gangs and sports.
yeah Charles Jordan said he was gettin sweated by jimmy johnson and mike holmgren, for wearing red,and they didnt like when he go to LA off season and shit.showin clips and that nigga was flashin to the cameras.the homie from MSB confirmed he was official.
Stacy Augmon got questioned and he was like no comment, then they showin divorce court documents with his ex sayin that he was a member of a known car club that was primarily Bloodz.
they showed Colorado football program, that had gang members on a champion team, certain % of team was LA based
Eric Bienemy,Darian Hagan,Deon Figures are alumnus that was featured.
Hagan from Watts, not sure what Crip set, said the car rolled up and he was caught dead bang, but he got a pass cause he was recognized by the other gang.
Figures,ex Steeler db,made news back then when he was shot ridin in his jeep in LA.Figures went on to say while he was at CU,he would get into it at the local parties with rival gangs, stating that he would throw his hood up.
dont know where Bienemy was from, home town listed as West Covina.
Derrick Rogers,ex Bills rb,from Pasadena.
Chris Mims, big lineman Redskins, sayin he go a bottle bust upside his head last time he was at a function

its been hella professional ball players with gang ties, and if i was one of em,i would be like Stacy Augmon "no comment"
