That's correct. Which is why I talk in terms of learning and properly (not misusing) the principles of logic with primary sources. People need to stop accepting McTruth from the modern media and learn to get at the truth doing real research with primary sources. Jesus was perfectly aware he would die for the sins of the whole world fulfilling the ancient prophecies and communicated it quite clearly long before it occurred.

Regarding fortitude. Webster defines it as "the power to resist attack; strength; and firmness as that strength or firmness of mind which enables a person to encounter danger with coolness and courage, or to bear pain or adversity without murmuring, depression, or despondency; passive courage; resolute endurance; firmness in confronting or bearing up against danger or enduring trouble." Jesus certainly is a good example of fortitude.

However, fortitude is only an attribute. Dahmer the modern day murderer/cannibal and that wicked man you previously mentioned Idi Amin had lots of fortitude.

And they used it for evil. As a Christian, I cannot join you in admiring people who use misuse good attributes, such as fortitude, to further evil wicked ends. A rightous example of fortitude properly used would be Joseph.

Sold into slavery by his own jealous brothers he persevered rightously to the point of imprisonment maintaining his purity in the face of his master employer's wife's aggressive advances. This led to his abandonment in an ancient prison where he was forgotten for years. Nevertheless, he did not lose heart and continued to use his attributes (including fortitude) in excellence eventually coming to power in the prison. Then, through an amazing [e.g. divine] set of circumstances, he rose to prominance becoming second only to the greatest ruler on the earth at that time, none other than the Pharoah, and he ruled over the entire civilized world. And instead of taking that as an opportunity to begin killing off everyone he didn't like or that didn't agree with him, he actually forgave those who had wronged him even the very ones who sold him into slavery and became reconciled to his brothers. He then acted as a savior in his time ensuring that the world did not perish in the great famine they were grappling with. Now that's a good example of fortitude imho.

If not read it. Additionally, there are many who claim to be Christians who are really involved in cults and follow false teachers. An authentic Christian will be bearing the fruit of rightousness and love in their life to a degree they previously did not. This does not mean they will be perfect; however, only that real change is evident. Growth is a process that begins upon conversion and continues throughout the life of a true believer. So using non-Christians, those who think they are Christians, and those who know they aren't but claim to be as examples of Christians is a mistake. Holding an authentic Christian to perfection, even as you practice the wickness in your life perhaps even persecuting and testing them as the Devil did to Jesus, is another mistake. None of this in any way negates the life changing reality of the authentic gospel in the many Christians that live right in your own community. An example of an authentic Christian would be the life of Corrie Ten Boom. In the face of severe cruelty at Ravensbruck, she kept her eyes on God faithfully living out the words of the Bible in the worst circumstances. On that day when you come before her, what will your accusations be?

Sweeping the crimes of humanity under the rug is futile; everyone shall give an account of themself unto God when the dead are judged. "Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it.
