I said "some" Arabs consider themselves Mediterranean (like Egyptians) other just view themselves and simply Arab.

I didn't post the picture of Iman, all I did was ask who she was because she looked like this girl I knew.

but anyways, most technology in Europe was taken from/learned from/adapted from other places.

Ex. - Triangle Sails (like the ones on trade ships)

Algebra (from the Arab "al Jaber")


But they do get credit for improving/using better some of the stuff:

Gun Powder fromt eh Chinese into effective guns and cannons and bombs

The main advantage Europe had was exposure to many places and then combining all of those ideas into their technology.
