So?
Everybody else also knows DEVGRU and the 22nd SAS exists. Yet almost nobody knows how many members they have and what missions they go on because just like Delta they are very secretive.
As for Pablo and Delta Force here is a link that talks about Delta Force's involvement in hunting Pablo.

Keep in mind it's from a book called "Killing Pablo".

Mate I don't wanna get drawn too off-topic here as this is supposed to be about the biggest drug lord but I'll say this: I've read "Killing Pablo" and it's an inaccurate, pro-American account.
Apart from dubiously 'suggesting' Delta pulled the final trigger, he gave no credit to the [I think, correct me if I'm wrong here] British SAS-trained police squad who killed Rodriguez Gacha, yet [rightly - though lop-sidedly] lavished praise on Centra Spike. I don't trust Mark Bowden.
This kind of stuff is disrespectful to the Colombian cops who killed Pablo as well. I'd like to see another account written about the killing, it doesn't matter what country they're from as long as they're not so obviously biased (though preferably Colombian).
I don't mean to be disrespectful to you 'cos you appear to believe the book, but that's what I think mate. Anyway, who do you think is the biggest drug lord? Pablo's normally rated the biggest but what about Carlos Castano? Or one of the FARC or Cali cartel?

Oh yeah can someone please tell me how to post in the international gangs forum?? I keep getting this 'only users granted special access' screen that comes up. I don't understand, I only thought that stuff was for the VIP sections. Sorry about posting here but I'm not sure where else to put it.

The biggest drug lord was Pablo Escobar no doubt. If you still ask questions; please read a book!

Pablo Escobar, by far. He bribed and intimidated columbian Parliment into rewriting the Columbian constitution making it so criminals couldn't be extradited to America. When the U.S. got involved, however, they had no choice but to pursue him. The American Delta Force DID kill Pablo, and the soldiers were their just to give make the Columbians look like they defeated the Criminal of the Century. In 1987(not sure of the year) Forbes magazine rated Pablo Escobar the 7th richest man in the world...

Delta Force didn't kill him [I'm assuming you're American?], whether you like it or not.

curtis warren was the biggest drug baron the uk has ever seen, and in the early 90s was europes biggest drug dealer. He is supposedly worth £225million but dutch police reckon its more likely £1billion.
Its quite amazing he went from toxteth scally to this, he also kept no records, he organized all this in his head, his bank records, phone numbers etc. quite amazing considering he left school age 9 years old.
read about his riise and fall in his book

It's Pablo, Colombia was Pablo's playground he ruled that country with an iron fist. The only mistake he ever did was when he blew up that Avianca plane, if he hadn't done that he wouldn't have lost the love of el pueblo and American forces would've never caught him. I read somewhere this man was the first & only billionaire in organized crime, not sure if the only part still stands..

Last night, just before I woke up this morning, I dreamt that the police or some federal agency like the DEA seized more than 190 billion dollars worth of heroin.
Holy crap...
I saw a bunch of DEA type officers holding the evidance, then I heard on the news or something 190 billion dollars, and then I saw it on a piece of paper, like a document, except the figure was like 190.4 billion dollars or whatever.
I don't do drugs. I have never done them. I smoked, but don't like it --- I cough and it tastes like shit. I also don't drink --- beer tastes bitter and something like sweat.
Anyways, when I heard 190 billion dollars worth of heroin in my dream, I couldn't belive that much money was worth in drugs. It's more than Rockefeller's wealth.

Also, I don't understand the concept of the Columbian Cartel.
There is always some cartel, like the Cali and Medellin cartels...
When I read on sites like Wikipedia about the Russian mafia, it says that they make a strong criminal alliance with the Italian mafia and Columbian Cartel, but it never says which cartel.
Is there an official Columbian Cartel, like the Mexican Mafia, aka Columbian Mafia or whatever???
Not just like the Cali and Medellin cartels?

Also, I read about the Columbian Cartel on some site that I can't find now...
It said that the CC makes about 80 billion dollars a year.
80x25 years for example, is 2000.
Ummm...
2 trillion, or 20 trillion dollars?
Still, HOLY CRAP!!!!!
Pablo Escobar was large though, meaning physiclly and in drug money. Nice...

The Medellin Cartel is long gone and the DEA just sent the two leaders to jail for I think it was 30 years... they're already 62 and 67 years old. So they gone. Norte del Valle has so many internal conflicts they won't be around for much longer.

Medillin Cartel long gone? You're kidding, right?
Medillin is still strong and they're still feuding with the Cali's, which are both similar in every day but yet have alot of differances for stupid reasons...
The Medillin and Cali are some, possibly the largest drug cartels in the world, and all they need to do now, as I said, is join forces and claim the name Columbian Cartel...
That's all...

You know when someone asked the leaders of those cartels if they really made 200 billion dolars they stareted to laugh. They told them if you think we really made that much money do you honestly believe you guys would of ever caught us. Hey Setenza what is with you European guys and just autamatically believing everything you read in articles and news reports.LOL. Now I would bet my life no cartel or mafia leader from which ever country ever saw that kind of money. Come on now if someone really made that much money they would never get caught.
I am pretty sure that 200 billion dollar figure came from the amount of drugs they were moving. The authorities measured the price of cocaine in street value, you know the amount the street corner kid would get for selling their dope, which is how they blow up that figure to 200 billion. Then you have to take out the bribes to the cops and all the people in the from around the world that help move that product. Then you start to relieze that the core members of the cartel in Colombia, or any other country for that matter, never saw that much money.
So when people start talking about the hundreds on billions of dollars these mafia and cartel leaders make I can't help but laugh.

Um.. actually Escobar surpassed $1 billion and was in Forbes Top 10 Most Wealthiest. His wealth was over $20 billion, as a matter of fact. Carlos Lehder (maintained his own island used to transport drugs into the US), Griselda Blanco (dubbed the "Godmother of Cocaine"), and Rodriguez Gacha (aka "El Mexicano"), all made $1 billion (plus) in drug profit.
