Oct 18, 2006 3:43 pm US/Eastern

(AP) Baltimore, MD Baltimore police are investigating the fatal shooting of a teenager in Baltimore City's Cherry Hill neighborhood. The 17-year-old boy was gunned down Tuesday night in the 2800 block of Carver Road at around 10 p.m.

Police investigating shots heard in the area found the boy bleeding from at least one wound. The boy, whose name is being withheld, died less than an hour later at nearby Harbor Hospital.

Anyone with information leading to an arrest and indictment in this latest killing is asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888.
