Tyson Vs Corey Sanders???

Postby George » October 20th, 2006, 7:27 pm

This happened Friday Oct 20th, 2006, Ohio. Did anyone get a chance to watch this or obtain news of the results?

It was a 4 rounder exhibition match, and I wonder who dominated most of the fight....??

Mike Tyson's world tour kicked off Friday at the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown, Ohio, with the former heavyweight champion sparring four rounds with Corey "T-Rex" Sanders. Sanders entered the ring wearing headgear, while Tyson did not use headgear. The fighters used 16-ounce gloves and wore t-shirts. Tyson dropped Sanders in the opening seconds and pressed the action throughout. Sanders seemed to have little interest in trading punches and virtually all the good connects were made by Tyson. Sanders' knees were buckled by a Tyson right in round three, and Tyson landed a big right hand in the fourth. No decision was rendered.

The Mojo is being re-developed.

I think as the tour continues on, Tyson will pick up "flow" and begin to fight well with more challenging fighters. A lot of pro boxers who have been outta the scene for more than a bit start off with lesser skilled opponents in the beginning of their "Comeback".

George Foreman being one of these pro's. After you know about 10 years away from the ring, it would be foolish to assume his first come back opponent to be someone like the 80's Prime Tyson or Holyfield and such.

They start off careful with average to decent opponents, and eventually move on to better fighters once they get their MOJO back babyyyyyyy.

It could easily go either way, both guys are powerful strikers. But I'll give the edge to Mike though. His punches are much more accurates...
