shit was hot, but I dont think B-more gonna blow up imitatin NY flow, alot of cats imitate NY flow and that shits wack. What happen to bein able to travel around and see and hear different shit? Not sayin all b-more cats rappin like NY dudes but a lot of the ones I'm hearin on some NY shit. I wanna see a dope producer come out of B-more like the virgina cats got their production game down, and flip some B-more club or some gogo shit with some hip hop shit. I hope B-more can blow, its a bleak city, lotta murder, lotta H, lotta crooked cops, whole damn streets and row houses vacant, all sorrounded by a rich ass state...I wish them niggas can blow, they need to hip the world to they struggle.

bmore not gonna blow up,they will remain underground(music wise)..because nowadays what seems to sell is what gang you claim to be down with...niggahs in bmore is strictly on slangin..alotta people find that boring due to the fact so many of these frauds in the rap game now done talked about it so much you cant tell real from fake...what exactly is a ny flow to you? like alotta methapors/punchlines?the dude i just showed you seemed to be on some droppin knowledge stuff alotta people probably woulda been like he tryna bite the old nas/jay z style but i think you can be from anywhere & if you real with it drop knowledge..pero you stay up on top of ya game being on the west though ..if a person cant be versatile with different versatile of music they shouldnt listen to it

^ i meant different styles from different cities.....& im not saying bmore is not gonna blow because of talent reasons....sad to say its alotta dudes out right now that can really go with the best of them...but its due to lazyness...dudes is hungry but they not that hungry to put in alotta work legally for rap money & stay consistent...niggahs rather slang weight all they life

i was watching a dvd & a dude (it might of been lil flip) said something along the lines of...back in the days it was hard for southerners to get in the rap game with a label..they had to get in independent due to the fact that a & r's & so on wouldnt go around to recruit...its gotten alil bit better in this day & age now but bmore is still a city where if you wanna blow music wise you aint gonna do it easy...you gotta go to n.y,florida, cali, texas to actually get recognized..its a dude from bmore named skar akbar hes kinda nice but hes on some oldschool jayz reasonable doubt type of shit.alotta dudes mistaken him for trying to sound like jay but thats the dudes style..he got heard of fu*kin with ny dj's & its to the point hes still not known but alotta times its where you at

It depend cali dont got like a special regional club music like DC and B-more, but they play all the same shit you hear everywhere else, your usual hip hop shit, that reggaeton (I hate that shit unless you with a spanish chick), R&B, that dancehall, etc. It seem like the east more into the dancehall and Carribean music, though. I like how niggas get down to gogo. gogo dance got more hand work, and seem like more dance moves.

you said something about v.a earlier...i like what virginia dudes did as far as rap wise they stuck together for the most part...hugo & pharell started it & put the clipse with them(even though they from ny)...& they got paid like that..now the clipse is branchin other v.a rappers under them & the trend is still moving along

for real. alot of dudes hate on VA. or hate on the neptunes but VA is the most forward moving state in the rap game. They loyal and build they artist up to. Thats what LA and NY niggas need to learn. Timbo, missy, neptunes...aint no other mainstream rap dudes tryna progress the music form production wise like them. but they lucky they mid-atlantic so you
know pharell was peepin B-more club, gogo, and mixin it with the regional music from the south, with whatever else he listen to. Niggas gotta get out, they gotta explore and learn.
