Here's What They Think About You

These concepts are socially constructed and have been given much weight. What are your thoughts?

ARE YOU SERIOUS Im ONE OF THOSE non junior high school graduates so please explain is your point those against the civil rights movementcreated the flawed system so is it your point that the system was ok up untill that point

before the civil rights movement, white people didnt have to live with black people. they had they're own water fountians, bathrooms, stores, ect. after the civil rights movements, segragation was abolished and things became for everyone, not just whites or blacks. this forced white people to see black people and live with them, even if they didnt want it. this let those people against intergration come out and show they're hate.

what im saying is, up until this point blacks were note even considered as equals. so when they were considered as equals, the white people who didnt want to consider them as equals created the flawed society not slavery, since the civil rights movements did eventually get blacks to be looked at as equals, in most places. but the people that didnt and dont look at blacks as equals today are why there is this "flaw" in the "system".

So meaning they still consider them as slaves. One of the reasons slavery occured was that Whites considered themselves better then blacks! which gave them their excuse to inslave them, since they werent as equals. So if they still believe that blacks are not Equal to whites, then this takes us back to the slavery.
I still dont fully understand your point that slavery has nothing to do with todays racial tension and oppresion?? (if that is your point)

so you think slavery, which happened nearly 200 years ago, with nobody that's alive today had a better impact than the civil rights, that happened 40 years ago with a lot of people alive today.

most people may look at blakcs as equals now, but since they grew up with the seperation and having intergration deemed horribly wrong in their community, they still look at blacks as people not fit for society and STILL look down on them.

So meaning they still consider them as slaves

THEY DONT KNOW WHAT SLAVERY IS OR WAS. NOT THE WHITE PEOPLE NOT THE BLACK PEOPLE! they cant compare it to something they havent experienced.

this is common sense, slavery was 200 years ago, civil rights were 40. the civil rights, liteally affected the system today. a lot of the people with the most prejudice today are people in their 40s-60s. what happened 40-60 years ago?

Slavery was about 160 years ago,not 200. And you dont make sense, you contradict yourself. If ''most people'' looke at blacks as equals, they would not ''look down on them'' as being unfit for society.Slavery has everything to do with todays problems, it instilled within whites that our well being does not matter.

Past injustices arent connected to current ones.If I beat my wifes ass yesterday, and today her eyes still swole from yesterdays beating, that doesnt count. But I beat her again today.Yesterday I beat her ass because I didnt like the color of the shirt shes wearing, today its because I dont like her shoes. But Im not consistently abusing her thou.

Why you contradicting yourself?? they look at us as equals, but look down at us not fit for society?? are you stupid??
How can you say slavery isn't part of the problem?? When people dont know there backgrounds, there grandparents real names?? all they know of there past is that they were slaves given pet names, beaten murdered raped.
and they still live in an unjust system, i dont even need to talk about the current situation, you know it very well!!
