Yo Bernard Hopkins is doing his thang, for him to be old as he is he still holding it down. I would of liked to see the rematch between him and Roy, but money problems kept the rematch from happing. He got a fight june 5 against a dude he beat 2 times already and Oscar got a fight also if the both win there fights then the two will meet Oscar and Bernard its in there contracts. Oscar is going to be put on the "Azz wooped by Bernard" list.

^^^I don't think Roy wants to fight anybody that he may have troubles with. He is now avoiding Toney the same way he avoided Hopkins. If the money is right (60 or 70% for Roy) then he will take the fight (if pushed). I think Hopkins is going to beat De La Hoya but I do not know who else he will fight after that.

I agree I think Roy rather loose to somebody big like Tyson, I dont think he can live with the fact loosing to Bernard or Toney.

Naaw man. I think that Roy is one of the smartest manipulators in the game today. He is only fighting folks he knows he can beat. He may think he can beat Tyson but that is a big risk (1-good punch from Mike and goodnight). I think he would rather fight a really big slow, uncordinated fighter like Ruiz, maybe Golota, etc. Or an overthehill like Holyfield. He has never said he would fight the Klitchko's or Toney.........damn, it really isn't that many good heavyweights left...LOL

roy jones is a good fighter nobody can deny that. but he is in a weak weight class and he never wants to fight anyone that poses a risk and isnt that what boxing is all about? but as for bernard hopkins he is a damn good fighter. but i think de la hoya is a smart fighter and he will find a way to beat him. i think he got robbed on the second mosley fight. and he really whooped trinidads ass. but bernard did too. only time will tell..

^^De La Hoya is a good fighter, but he is not in Hopkins class (right now). Don't get me wrong, anyone, ANYONE, can be beaten on any night, but Hopkins is one of those counter-puchers that feeds off of his oppositions strengths. Oscar is basically a one-armed fighter. If he faces Hopkins now, he will get smashed. Hopkins is going to get REEEEAL physical with him. Now if they don't fight for 2-3 more years, then Oscar has a better chance. Like I said in an earlier post, Hopkins is getting old.

He did but right now Benard and toney still going strong and better fighters then they was when they fought roy. I dont think roy is scared of them but the chances of him loosing to one of them is very high right now.

^^^Naw...I think you need to watch it once more. Remember, that he got in Toney's head. Toney was goofing around trying to imitate Jones and got clocked. He was not knocked out.....simply dominated on points....and never truly hurt (the knock down came when Toney was trying the chicken move off-balance)... Toney is more natural at heavy then Jones. Jones does not want Toney right now, that is why he is fighting Tarver again (which he should win easily this time). Toney is a heavier puncher and Jones is a quicker/faster boxer. It is sad that two natural light-heavy's are the only HEAVY'S worth watchin these days.

Yo dam I did not know that. Well Tarver in trouble this time cause Roy did not have to drop weight like he did the first fight. It took a lot out of him and he did not have much time to really train. When he wins this fight I still think he needs to fight Benard again. Because there is no one left in the heavy weight division. And Mike Tyson is so much out of weight, Mike was saying he was done with boxing but his trainers said don't count on that.

Mike is not done, He is just begining training camp for his next fight with Trainer Freddie Roach, I still dont know who he is fighting but it will soon be announced and a Bernanrd hopkins vs Roy Jones fight will never happen again since Jones is way to heavy to drop weight and Bernard is way to old to gain weight. I want Roy to go to the heavyweight divison so he can face James Toney that would be a good fight, then Tyson, because there really is no one in the Lightheavyweight division.

^^Roy is fighting Tarver again and should win easily. If they (Hopkins & Jones) can meet somewhere in the middle (weight wise) that would be a helluva fight. But you are right, it will never happen.

Yeah I think Roy got at least 2 to 3 fights left in him and he needs to fight somebody worth retiring over Tony would be a good one. But I think he needs to take at leats 2 more heavy weight fights before he takes on Toney then retire.

yeah

he got robbed the first fight tho

If you watch the announcement of the winner you can see that Taylor didn't even think he won.

Hopkins lost like the first 4 rounds but after that it was all him.

i would like to say yes but i don't watch much boxing.
plus it depends on if its a "what if" match(BHOP is in his prime) or if the fight happened now.
