Gibby, I saw that one at the record store, was gonna cop it too but ended up choosing Sir Mix A Lot for $4.95...LOL WAR, TOWER OF POWER, TIERRA, EL CHICANO...some good albums from those bands. Love the oldies homie! Brenton Wood, Mary Wells, Dramatics, Spinners, 4tops, Barry White, James Brown, Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, Impressions, I could go on and on.
For you young brothers out there, any of you check out Gil Scot Heron's "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised"???? Peep that entire cd out and let me know what you think about it.

Right Here You guys missed the Isley Bros at the Cerittos Center. Damn what a show. They played all old cuts (Voyage to Atlantis, Foosteps in the dark, Between the Sheets , Groove With You , For the Love of You etc etc etc) Next up is Keith Sweat at the Universal. i came across this homie...check it out...i'll post after this with the link and you can check it all out..
"A New Era...
Tierra, the band named "Best R&B Vocal Group" by four leading magazines including Billboard. They started their career in East Los Angeles with a blend of rock, pop, jazz, R&B and salsa. The result was a Latin R&B rhythm which produced classics like "Together", "Gonna Find Her", "Memories" and "Zoot Suit Boogie". The band's quarter century commitment shows a dedication that can only be understood by listening to their smooth and soulful sounds.
Tierra was the first Latino band to have four songs on the national chart and two simultaneously in the Top 100. They have performed in such prestigious shows such as Carnegie Hall, The American Music Awards, American Bandstand, and The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Tierra is widely known to have played a role in opening doors for other latino and non-latino superstars of today, including comedian Paul Rodriguez, Arsenio Hall, Sheila E., Gloria Estefan, Los Lobos, latino comic of the year, Rudy Moreno, and more."

Re: What album you bumpin' now?
I'm bumbin' a lot of "Nelly" right now. The boy has some skilz, but nobody here seems to mention him. He knows how to produce tracks. I mean "dilemma" is bumbin.
Also, I'm bumbin some Beyonce. She's doin' her think right now, and she's the hottest thing out.
I'm listen a lot to Missy Elliot. I went back to "Work It". Does anyone know what she says in the chorus to that song. The version I have seems to be scrambled. It sounds like she's speaking "gibberish".
Off the hip-hop tip, I'm bustin' a lot of "Linkin' Park" lately. This is the best non-hip hop group out. And the album "Meteora" has been in the top 40 for 6 months already. They have a song "easier to run" which is my favorite, along with "numb", "nobody's listening" and "somewhere I belong". They do a little "rap" crossover which is tight.
peace out from Israel

She's saying the same thing that she says directly beforehand in the chorus, it's just played backwards.

i was just listenin to Juvenile's "400 degrees' CD, this shit is straight heat, i had almost forgotten how good it was, it spent too much time on the shelves...
Re: What album you bumpin' now?
400 Degrees was tight. My faves off it was Back That Azz Up and Ha (Hot Boys Remix).
