Would Jesus Christ be considered a conservative or liberal?

Postby alexalonso » May 28th, 2004, 3:52 pm

This is my best view on his positions based on what is written

Capital Punishment? not sure on this one because the scripture speak on an ey for an eye in the Hebrew Scriptures, but it suggests that this is something that God handles, not any state or governernment.

Abortion? Conservative, he would say not to destroying life no matter the circumstances, i.e. rape. incest, etc.

Taxes? Moderate, he advocated paying you due taxes, but I think he would think that todays' taxes are too much for the working man.

War? Liberal, he would never support warring between nations.

Welfare? Liberal, he would help and give to those that were less fortunate

Gay Marriage? Conservative, this is a no brainer, marriage as defined by his father is between a man and a women. He would be with Bush on this one people.

Crime Law? Conservative, if you do the crime you must do the time.

So Alonso, I guess you could say that Jesus was the ultimate Independent Moderate.

jesus, while he would have more conservative views on marriage, sexual orientation, etc, he still believed that they are people, and he would never want to condemn them, hate them, outcast them the same way the whitey republican party does.

Love peace patience kindess, goodness, all those things that Jesus stood for is beyond political party affiliation. Peace.

Lord, forgive me for this rip Im gonna take.

Saddam, it was the southern Democrats, that outcast, condemn, and hate. DOnt sleep, they were the ones lynching, bombing churches, and burning crosses. Did you know that Al Gore comes from a family that are anti civil rights? If it were up to them, slavery would have lasted much longer in this country too. Dont e fooled.

Well I would have to disagree on Taxes. The New Testament anyways, he was not happy about tax collectors. However, the Old Testament reads much different.

If you're Catholic then you already know what Jesus would be. He's the Pope. The Pope represents God's disciples. The disciples represent the word of God. And God represents Jesus and the Holy Spirit. So we just have to hear what the Vatican says about Politics......which is usually low key and very pacifist. They do not tolerate violence but they realize certain dictators must be dealt with.

Even though you have left many of my questions unanswered I will answer yours.

Your comment was formed in the manner of a statement. "I guess you could say the Jesus was the ultimate Ind. Mod.".

It's what attorney's call leading the witness/jury. You're trying to create a conclusion that is not there. As a matter of fact it is assinine. Who would ever call Jesus a moderate? That's why we have Conservatism.

If God is in the Middle then who is on the Left???

Totally Absurd.

Boy...you are silly and ignorant. I was answering the question that Alonso posted foolio! I gave my opinion that Jesus was probably the ultimate Independent Moderate.
Yeah Conservatives are "good" Christians LOL that's why they will bomb a country and not worry about the innocent lives lost. El Tio...I think you better brush up your worship of Jesus better holmes! Jesus didn't like hypocrites, Jesus wasn't into war, Jesus said "love thy enemy" "turn the other cheek".....hardly what your heroes Gw'ya and Ronnie Reagan actually follow and followed.
"If God is in the Middle then who is on the Left???"
Stupid question ....I'd say that the "devil" would be at either extreme.

It's been fun. Well not really but we need to dead this.

For the record Republicans are not the only one's that bomb people so your argument is useless.

Didn't Clinton bomb the Serbs in order to take attention away from Monica Lewinsky? Yes he did.

Anyways, don't forget to vote in November. No matter how confused you are you do have the right.

Republicans tend to be the "hawks" of our country.....they also tend NOT to have their own sons go fight. I give Republicans like McCain and Bush1 credit because they talked the talk and walked the walk.
No Clinton didn't bomb the Serbs because of Monica....Clinton was asked to send our troops their because of his alliance with NATO.
I will vote in November and I am definitely NOT confused....you are son.

So Republicans tend not to send their sons to War?

How many Democrats do you know that "send" their sons to War.

You either enlist or you don't go.

Nobody sends you to War. You send yourself.

During Vietnam there was a Draft that included everyone.

Stop making such STUPID statements. And then you compound your stupidity when you admit that Bush (1) went to War and Clinton did not.

And Clinton's lasting shame will be Kosovo.

El Tio you are a coward ....you are totally wrong....try to delete this post homo!! I quess you can't because it's not on your own little "International Terrorism" Right wing republican hypocrite thread!!
It's a shame that such a small minded henpecked(by your republican masters) fool like you got to be a moderator for that subject. So I guess whenever someone disagrees with your sorry position...you can just delete their post?(If you didn't delete the posts, I apologize in advance)
Republican elites like the guys you jock on tend not to and find all sorts of excuses to get out of going to or sending their sons to war. Reagan, Cheney, Bush2, Rush, Hannity....only give or gave lip service and didn't put their azz on the line. The same actually does go for the Democrat elites.
Kosovo , Serbia was a NATO action...........we are part of NATO fool...so your slanderous accusation regarding a Serbia/Lewinski connection shows YOUR ignorance. Just for the record I wasn't for going there either.
Clinton/Bush2 know how to avoid Vietnam....2 peas in a pod.
I didn't "admit" that Bush1 went to war and served our country........I GAVE HIM CREDIT AND RESPECT FOR THAT YOU FOOL!!!!!!!!

People like you and Michael Moore think that Iraq was better off before the Americans got there.

umm... ok. I saw the damn thing high as a mo fo and u want me to remember?!?! wtf

Bush's family used to do a lot of business with Osama Bin Laden's family. If I remember correctly, Osama Bin laden invested 1.4 BILLION dollars into Bush's family. Thats why some believe that the 911 attacks were more personal from Bin Laden to Bush...

Dood. freals. I was high as a mofo. but man, Michael moore doesn't cast Bush in a 100% bad light. He tries to explain that Bush was just part of the upper white class, and all he knew was how to make money, and thats what he did with Bin Laden. Or something like that. peace. im gonna smoke.

that is true. That came out in the news when the whole 9-11 thing happened, but it didn't make much noise. Not only did the bush family do business with the Bin Laden family for over 15 years, but many of them had been guests at bushs farm in Texas. The Bin Ladens had also invested in some deals with G.W. in like a joint venture. You can find the story in a lot of newsparer or news sites if you search. I used to have it in my e-mail, but can't find it. It was not a quick little thing. The families were friends and business parters in the late 70's and all throughout the 80's. They didn't stop doing business until the 1st persian gulf war.

Do you guys realize that the Bin Laden family is HUGE!

Don't you remember that all the Bin Laden's came out and denounced Osama after the attacks happened. They know he is a certified head case. They want nothing to do with him.

Was Osama with Bush???

Do you remember how many Saudi's and other Arab's Clinton had over his place and how many hands he shook?

As for your other accusations, there is an important Chinese proverb: WHEN YOU DRINK WATER REMEMBER THE SOURCE. Michael Moore is a propoganda artist. He wants to manipulate everything he can to push his liberal agenda.

Panik you can respond but Saddam, until you change your screename I will no longer reply to you. Your decision to use "Saddam" as a screename is a direct insult and slap in the face to all the families that have suffered a lost son/daughter due to this War. And an insult to all the Iraq's he murdered in the thousands.

Its ok. Its another way of saying I won. And since I won our argument bro, ill take this hit for you. Im gracious to losers u see...
