My hood is right over there. Off of Hoover and 40th and there aint no hoover to be seen. Every hood over there hate the Hoovers from the 40's the DCNHC's the DOMG's even the HPS. WHEN I WAS IN THE PRISONS IN THE 80'S, I ENCOUNTERED GUYS THAT CLAIMED 43 HOOVA BUT THEY WERE ALL O/G'S OLDER THAN MYSELF.
I TRIPPED WHEN I WAS IN CORCORAN STATE PRISON, THERE WAS A GUY FROM 4-DUCE HOOVA, HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS ONE OF THE ONLY HOOVAS LEFT FROM 4-DUCE AND HE REPPED THAT TO THE FULLEST.

sorry for taking 6 years to respond, but 43 Hoover was definitely a real Hoover set from the 1970s to the early 1980s. The 40s claim that area now, and no one mentioned Dirty Old Man Gang that occupied many of those streets from Hoover to Figueroa. I have never personally met a 43 Hoover, but I would love to meet one. Thats some rich Los Angeles gang history,

i have a homeboy who's Aunts boyfriend was/is from 43 Hoover. Older dude. These dudes are all floaters, older dudes, 45+ yrs old. No youngsters, no niggas in they 30s, 20's, or Teens. Yall be lucky to run across these dudes. In the Pen, maybe at a Hoover Hood Day.

There are a few Hoover Sets that went extinct or got absorb into another set, one off the top of my head is 80 Hoovers. And most of us know about the 90 Hoovers turning West Coast 9-0's, then R-90's NHC.

They're some OG d/s 40s that used to be 43/42 Hoovers & 42 Hustlers.

43 Hoovers fought Brims back in the 1970s to 80s. Specifically the Fruit Towns, Orchard Blocks, and Untouchable Brims.

The Manual Arts Area switched hands over the decades from Brim (1970s) Hoovers (1980s) to Rollin 40s (1990s to Present).
