Repatriation Flights back to Mexico is on and cracking twice a day. The U.S. has decided that dropping people off at the border was not working as well as it should.

The U.S. is putting detainees on Jet Airliners, no handcuffs or shackles. There are served a hot meal and beverages, shown a movie, and then eventually dropped off in Mexico City. The U.S. government's reason is, "If we make it more difficult for them to come back, it could drop the numbers on detainees in custody and decrease money spent on services for detainess.

The U.S. is spending $28,000 a day on this program.

Also when can we deport troublesome negros? LOL ! I think we should deport DX to mecca so his brothers can show him the love he did not get at home. LOL. This country is a politically correct weak joke anymore and will fall so why bother worrying?

Who rooted for Hitler? As the saying goes, " America is a melting pot of european nations" Oh did you not know that that slogan was written that way? Yes that is the original way it was written. And just like all the multi racial societies of old, of course america will fall. Too many groups fighting for their own causes, well except whitey. It was enough to get past the barriers of language when integrating europeans, throw in radically different cultures, languages, perceptions,values, and most importantly religeons and you have no glue to bind it together other than money. I really dont care to go on about it, if you dont know the history of multi cultural failure then just start with reading of the Roman and British Empires. The immigrants who come to this country now view it as a big steak to eat. They couldnt care less about what this country stands for. They just want theres and thats it. I mean this of course is generalizing, but its fairly accurate and certainly more honest than the far left line of BS that America is becoming what the fore fathers envisioned.

Man says he has found path to an honest life

Having escaped El Salvador's civil war and survived years as an L.A. gang member before going straight, Oscar Melgar now enjoys tending to his Tijuana trinkets store, going to church every day and spending time with his 6-year-old daughter, Valeria.


TIJUANA – Oscar Melgar, a criminal deportee from the United States, waved his arms to direct tourists to his new trinkets store.

A long-sleeved, collared white shirt covered the gang tattoos that creep up his neck and arms. Harder to hide were the numbers "1" and "8" – referring to the Los Angeles gang he used to belong to – tattooed on the back of his ears.

"I feel ashamed of them," said Melgar, 40.

Since those days, he said, he has found God and the path to an honest life.

Melgar, originally from El Salvador, came to the United States when he was 20 to escape the civil war that split his home country in the 1980s and early '90s.

He and other young Salvadoran immigrants ended up in Los Angeles-area neighborhoods where they formed the 18th Street Gang, which Melgar belonged to, the Mara Salvatrucha and other gangs.

During the past decade, thousands of these gang members were convicted of crimes, served time and then were deported to El Salvador, where they continued their gang activities.

Melgar wouldn't say what crimes he was convicted of in the United States but said he was deported seven times. Each time, he told U.S. authorities he was from Mexico so he could avoid deportation to El Salvador and slip back into the United States more easily.

Finally, eight years ago, he became tired of the crazy life north of the border and decided to remain in Tijuana.

"I did the drugs for three more years, but I've been clean for five years now," he said.

Some criminal deportees work along the tourist strip of Avenida Revolución, where their English skills are an asset. They get hired by restaurants and clubs or earn $1 for each group of people they can bring into the establishment. They often live in downtown hotels where they pay by the day or week.

Melgar said he worked in a tourist shop for several years, but with the help of his sister in Los Angeles, he opened his own small store this year near Avenida Revolución, where he sells blankets and hammocks. He manages it with his wife, who is Mexican. They have two children, ages 6 and 4.

Each day, he closes the shop at 4 p.m. to go to church.

"It's never too late to change," he said.

I must disagree strenously, however, with your view of current immigrants. I know too MANY first generation asians and hispanics that work very hard and contribute their share even above and beyond.
