The UNITEDS CAR CLUB in SAN PIPAS back in the early to mid 70s were the originators of BSP Barrio San Pedro formed out of racial in-fighting between San Pedro people discriminated by Rancho San Pedro whom looked down on people that would not integrate and join ranks with RSP.

The ones that were able to resist and not get caught up in the feuds between RSP & BSP were the Castañeda brothers whom still have a body shop down on Harbor Blvd. Firme people with lots of talent.

I know that a lot of the gangs have car clubs originating off their membership, mostly those that are not into the hardcore gangbanging, with some starting off ealry on in high school body shop and paint, then moving on to the real world and going in for the money as well as a place they can continue their art work but still kicking it and crusin' the streets.
