im all about keepin it clean and simple, reminiscent of the old school cholo/LA look...simpler clothes just seem so much stylish and fancier to me than a $100 phat farm shirt and big baggy sloppy looking jeans like them east coast cats wear..just not my steez, i gotta be able to crease my shit up:

heres the run down:

im a sucker for prison style county blue dickie button down shirts and chore jackets..carhartt, and ben davis chore jackets get love too

all varietys and colors of dickie and ben davis pants...although i prefer ben davis because they never lose that stiff "new" feeling and they keep a crease better....dickies keep a cuff better though

letter belts and or military style chrome buckle belts...clean, simple, tough looking and extremely gangster-ish a must for my pants

ALL BEN DAVIS APPAREL..im a fiend for ben davis zipper front shirts short sleeve and long sleeve..anything with the ben davis logo im coppin.

shoes...black or white chucks, black cortez's, white cortez's etc...slip on house shoes with the tan colored sole..cant go wrong with any of these

raiders gear..beanies hats etc...im a fiend for raiders gear, love the silver black color combination

i just wear some shit i would wear. i dont buy costly clothes to look coo. but i like suede black chucks, with blue laces, fat, not a gang member.. and i like rocawear, proclubs, and profives.

You gotta give it to the old style. Since I´m probably a few years older I cannot go to work in the baggy clothes I used to wear back in high school. But my wardrobe back then (which I kept) consisted of:

- Black Ben Davis jacket for spring and autumn. Carhartt arctic parka for winter mixed with an East-Coast-style black Air Force Extreme Cold Weather parka (you know the one with the white furred hood)

- Dickies in black or khaki, Ben Davis pants in black, khaki or grey.

- Matching Ben Davis shirts (sometimes with long sleeve white/black T-shirt underneath) or just simply a white creased T-shirt from Hanes...

-Carhartt or dickies sweatshirts

- Black Nikes or Converse or Timberlands with baggy jeans

-Helluva´n attitude

I used to and still do wear the Dickies, Ben Davis, Plain solid color T's, the hoodies with a zipper, etc. Swap meet shit. When I came out to NYC 5 years ago, fools weren't wearing that shit! Fools were clowning the west coast style. They were into matching the left stripe on the shirt arm with the shoelaces, while the hat brim and the logo on the jeans matched the rest of the shoe, all while the du-rag offset the deeper hues of the jacket's lining type of shit. LOL

This last summer, when I went to Fordham Road, Fulton Mall, and basically any Modell's in the whole city, they were STOCKED UP on dickies button-ups, shorts, pants, suits, etc. Just saying. New York has always been on its own nuts but the extent of the style change was shameful, especially considering fools used to try and clown, then the same fools years later talking about it's tight.
