Black Conseratives or is it COONIN!

Should it be some kind of repercussions for this handkerchief head negro and others like Armstrong Williams, Ken Hamblin, and Ward Connerly who continue to sell Black Folk out and just keep getting away with it.

Ward Connelly is certainly not a friend to the black cause but I would not hate on all black conservatives. For example Colin Powell, is an advocate for affirmative action and educational attainment for the less priviledge.

Sometimes Armstrong makes some deep points on social issues but Ward Connelly has got to go. He is just simply working for those that are against equality and justice for all races. Also Clarnce Thomas, although he does not speak too much has a written record similar to Ward and I would not trust him either.

There is a growing Black conservative class, I think now at about 15% of all blacks, and it is slowly growing.

Alonso,

Didn't the Black conservative class also grow during the Reagan era?

.

*COlin Powell is a Republican but not a Conservative. The reason i say thats is becasue he has Left Leaning ideas like u mention. He doesnt follow the Conservative Platform to the Tee. He is a moderate-center to left leaning republican. Alot of conservatives resent him, but he is George Bush's poster boy for Passionate Conservatism and the new diversified image that the republicans are trying to project.

*Ward Connelly is a trip and a hypocrit, because he benifitted from affirmative action back in the days, and now since he got his foot in the door, sh-t he's in, he is trying to shut it on others...

i totally agree.these are the only two black conservatives whom i have beef with.i know plenty of conservative blacks who are sensitive to black social issues.theres no written law that says you can't

Larry elder also falls into this category of Black conservatives, but I would position as far right as Ward Connely. Larry does make some sharp conservative points but I do know he underestimates the impact on racism. racism is a complicated process that goes back decades and some of the historical racist actions from the past, still have implications today, and Larry Elder does not seem to make that connection, but outside of his views of racism, he makes great conservative points on taxes, government bureaucracy, abortion, etc.

Also I think he is way off on the war in Iraq too.
