that was an extra close win.
on espn.com i says if the the judge that gave the last round to floyd would of gave it to oscar like the other judges it would of been a draw.

I dont know what them judges was looking at I was looking at Oscar miss or be blocked and Floyds punching speed murdering Oscar, Oscar won 4 rounds at best .

Oscar won 5 rounds at best. He was winning rounds up until the start of the 10. It wasnt til then that Mayweather let loose on his ass. DLH's combos definately werent 100%, but he had enough good body shots when you add em up. I was shocked that he was able to match Mayweather's speed the first half of the fight, even tho he wasnt as accurate as him. That being said, Mayweather should be real humble about this victory cause by no means did he have Oscar in trouble that entire fight with the exception of a semi-knee wobbler.

I laugh at you racially blinded assholes who can say Mayweather was toying with DLH and whooped his ass in an easy win. Bitch please.

i hate floyd mayweather. he was ridiculously stuck up through out the enitre time this fight was being covered and i personally dont see how any human being can like mayweather. but he won last night hands down. oscar died in the 9th round and got killed in every other round except for the 11th. he was too fast for oscar and oscar didn't use anything to his advantage. i dont know what the judge who had oscar winning was looking at, mayweather was the clear winner.

I thought Mayweather was going to win, but by a more dominating performance.

Oscar did very well, better than i expected.

Mayweather was talking all kinds of shit on that 24/7 series and those press conferences, so what happened to Mayweather kicking De La Hoyas ass ?

Mayweather should give Oscar more respect, because he wasnt able to dominate Oscar like he said he was or dominate Oscar like his previous opponents.

Mayweather, beat up, mudered, butchered, whatever you want to call it, Judah, Corrales, and ESPECIALLY GOTTI and there are some others.

But what happened to them, by no means happened to De La Hoya, i think the majority of us can agree on that atleast right?

In my opinion, the judge who gave Oscar the decision was wrong though.

oscar basically came out there and took a huge shit on the mexicans as a race, i thought that was kinda wrong considering it was may 5th, i know the mexicans were not happy about that, they was poppin off shots in carson last night after they announced floyd the winner

The way i see it Is if you thought Oscar won how many fights have you watched? you need to watch Tennis cause boxing aint your thing, yesterday Oscar got toyed with just look at the punch stats if you dont believe me, Oscar has never had that misses in his career, thats why Floyd was msiling at how Oscar couldnt connect, Floyds over hand right kept going threw everything was working for Floyd but he didnt attack as much , all cause Oscar was on the attack more in the eirlier rounds dont mean he won because most those shots like i said were missed or blocked Mayweather had all the power punchs in the fight . Oscar was not close at all .

normally the aggressor always wins. But that didnt give n e close points for de la hoya at all. maywehter on the other hand was more slick and was confident with his steps and movements of punches. Ide give it to delahoya for blocking most of his punches.

I watched the fight once and wouldnt want to watch it again. Good thing i didnt skip work just to watch or pay for this fight on pay per view. Dissapointment for a lot ofpeople thinking it was going to be an all out brawl.

I should have known better! And all those fighters maywether fought ARE NOT the best fighters out there....Ill give you a short list of top fighters: CLottey, Cotto, Margarito, Mosley.........lets see if he has the balls to step up to those plates...and if he does hes going to fight margarito first cos hes the slowest LOL

Maywether was pretty much guaranteed that win. For the most part evenly matched, difference is Maywether is quicker and speed will prevail more times than not. Gotta give it to him for taking those body shots from De la Hoya. Everyone who had De la Hoya picked basically said he would win because he is so powerful, Maywether took those punches, laughing.

If anyone he will fight it would be Mosley because his retired right now and only would come back for big $ and Mosley is the only one who offers that other then Oscar , and cotto fucking sucks watch June 9th you will see Zab take his ass to the gym . Also Floyd would kill Mosley just like Winky did , you need to wake up and remember Floyd is the best boxer out there today.

Boring fight, neither one was aggresive enough. Mayweather won hands down though. De LaHoya didnt land very many clean punches. He should have tried bullying him more, he did his best when Mayweather let him get on the ropes, but Oscar either didnt or couldnt sustain the attacks. Walking slowly towards someone while they hit you in the mouth isnt pushing the issue either.

i had it 7 to 5 for Mayweather, but this fight was so anti-climatic. The hardest punches were by Oscar, but Floyd outscored Oscar. I gave round 12 to Oscar, and one judge actually gave it to Floyd. If that judge would have given round 12 to Oscar i believe it would have been a draw, but I would love to see a rematch.

Why did Oscar stop jabbing after round 8? He was never hurt and he was very effective with it. oh well, next time.

Oscar was tired. Not being active but for only 3 fights really showed. He probably could have won had he been more active because he would have been able to hold up for those 12 rounds and realize that the jab was working for him.

OSCAR NEVER JABBED AND HE TIRED HIMSELF OUT AFTER THE FIRST 5 ROUNDS. YEAH OSCAR IS MORE POWERFUL OUT OF THE TWO BUT HE COULDN'T LAND A PUNCH TO SAVE HIS LIFE BUT MAYWEATHER WASN'T AGGRESSIVE ENOUGH EITHER.

He wasnt suppossed to hurt Oscar, Oscar was suppossed to hurt him. Mayweather is really a 130 pound fighter you go up 20 pounds for a fight you not taking your power with you. And if you think Oscar outscored Mayweather you crazy, that wasnt even close only thing Oscar had was he was more aggresive and he didnt push that far enough. The vast majority of his punches were not scoring blows.
