I can see St. Louis definitely has an L.A. influence. Do you have a lot of information regarding the early migration of L.A. gangs into St. Louis that's going to be in the film?

StillNoScript wrote:Ghost, regarding Whites laughing; If a documentary gets into the elements that lead to gangs, from all angles, racist Whites are not laughing. They hate that because it takes the wind out of their sail as they try to convince everyone that gangs are just evil criminals. The truth is like kryptonite to them. That's why I hope to see a regular feature movie hit the big screen someday that deals with the elements of society that perpetuate and exploit gang violence as well as the gangs themselves. Something like "Lord of War" meets "Menace".
*tsk tsk.
People say movies exploit gang violence, too. But you can make a movie about anything. If gangs died tomorrow, there's a whole world of other things to write about. Prison developers, law enforcement agencies looking to inflate their budgets, on the other hand, would have a problem. Know what I'm saying?
Films, documentary or feature, fiction or non fiction, that only exploit the violence, sex, drama, etc. are useless. It's porn, more or less. But a film that focuses on all elements of the problem are both entertaining and educational at the same time. It's just that we hardly see them anymore, except for on the independent circuit. But who watches independent films? Pretty much, film geeks, and that's it. I want to see something good hit the theaters nation wide, for everyone to see. I want it to have the biggest stars, the whole 9. And, I want it to be realistic and good as f'k.

Even as a way outsider, I could see how those peeps weren't hard-core like many LA clicks. Thats not to say those parts dont have their ish, sure they will, but its still a shame to see so many healthy looking kids tryin to get mobbed up like that - to me those pics lookd more like social club than hard core gang thing and would be better that wayu. Seems a damn shame.
