Aboriginal lands in the Northern Territory are going dry.
Australian Prime Minister John Howard has announced a six month ban on alcohol in indigenous communities in the territory.
He says the move is one of a series of measures in response to a major report last week which revealed widespread child abuse in indigenous communities, fuelled in part by alcohol.
Mr Howard says laws will be passed to ban the sale, the possession, the transportation, the consumption and introduce the broader monitoring of takeaway sales across the Northern Territory.

Sounds to me like the ones that introduced the alcohol to the natives are back to their age old habit of criminalizing people and subduing them even more with sh*tty a*s laws that will put away the adults and relegate the young ones into "the system" which robs them of their culture and re-arranges their minds in a favorable pre-disposed view of the white man's way without any intervention from their elders 'cause they are "criminals" . . . why not really spend some cash into improving those same natives lives, that way they won't get into alcoholisms to escape their dread in the big society. Nah, they rather re-set up the alcapone prohibition era in the land down under, than really putting minds to work for a brighter future.

Absolutely...Here is a list of the countries with the highest consumption of alcohol:
Alcohol is pretty much accepted at any occasion here and people start very early...Same counts for the other European countries..
But we Germans mostly love our beer. There are about 5,000 different brands of beers in Germany, practically every little city has its own beer with a long ass tradition and the laws & restricitions of how to brew beer (Reinheitsgebot/German purity law) stem from the year 1516 and are still valid. It like a deeply rooted tradition to get drunk like fuck with the beer over here. Not everyone does it, but you know what i mean....I am sure you know the "Oktoberfest" in Munich huh? Its like a drinking binge that lasts for one month.
Every country got its own preferred alcohol over here but all of us are into drinking here in Europe The Scots and the Irish are on the same page like us Germans though
haha damn i remember i got free drinks in Scotland when i said i was German, cause they were like "oh we love Germany, cause you dropped bombs on England"
Those guys definitely know how to drink too.
Ok cheers, i am having a beer right now

You know that thats the reason why they made that law in the UK and Ireland that all pubs are closed at midnight and you are not allowed to sell alcohol after that?
Because too many people were absent from work back in the days and they wanted to make them stop drinking like that. But it only made people getting drunk like fuck till 12 and then starting brawls or pass out.
Haha but i like that mexican tradition. Maybe i will adapt to it

haha you could never do that here. That would mean civil war. Bars and stores where you can buy alcohol are opened 24/7 the whole year. You can do anything with us Germans, take away our civil rights, raise the taxes, pass stupid laws, but DONT TOUCH THE BEER!Lonewolf wrote:Oh we got them type of laws down here too, especially during "elections" of any type and certain holidays, but that's why we buy our sh*t in bulk "days ahead" . . . we be preppin' up way up in advance, and sometimes we run out of gulp before the occassion and damm, now we gotta go "bribe" somebody Lucky'ly we all got good Homies at the local stock.

Nah' we ain't gonna go heads-up like that, we ain't interested in government, that's why we're still run by Criollos and Anglos, cause we don't give a f*ck to be up in that seat. You remember that picture that shows Don Emiliano Zapata and El Centauro Pancho Villa sitting in that presidential chair "just for kicks" . . We could of had it but nah' . . we's a party people, don't geu up on my face and everything is all right, just let me have my fun ~~> now that's "NATIVE" right there.Sentenza wrote:haha you could never do that here. Yea thats funny, cause thats the image Mexico has over here. Like easy going, relaxed people. There are actually a few old German folk songs about Mexico which reflect that.Lonewolf wrote:Nah' we ain't gonna go heads-up like that, we ain't interested in government, that's why we're still run by Criollos and Anglos, cause we don't give a f*ck to be up in that seat. But you guys are better at going heads up with the government. Its like what Lenin once said about us Germans: When Germans are trying to do a revolution and start it on a train station, they will buy tickets before going there.
But the Russians are not any better then us. When they did their revolutin in 1917 the first thing they stormed where the Vodka reserves in the basement of the Tzar palace, no joke.
