The Death Penalty

Statistically, just purely statistically, no one can argue against the fact that at least one innocent person will be killed by the death penalty. Since taxes are compulsory, and since we do not have individual control over where our taxes go to, part of the money will go towards this statistical fact. The death penalty should be illegal. Put them in prison for life, but don't put them to death. How many people sentenced to death were cleared after it was too late?
