Not bad, I've seen worse from newcomers. I'm telling you though, your best bet is to get working at a shop and start small. Get a real pro to take you under their wing and show you who things work. I've known artists that just do their own thing for years and never really get better, and I've known artist who have been doing it for less then 5 years and working with some amazing artists and it really rubs off. Get in at a shop and put in hours of just cleaning, watching, drawing, whatever. It'll pay off in the long run, I guarantee it.

Lettering is always hard to master and you've come along nicely. I don't know if you've got a vehicle or not but there is a ton of shops in the greater L.A. area that you could try to get in with. I can't stress enough how important that is. Work your way up, don't get ahead of yourself. Get in with a good shop, do your time, and learn as much as you can. Books and shit will help but hands on training by someone who knows more is always best.
