with that i wouldnt give a damn if they all just kept it in the bedroom. outta sight outta mind. they just are always on the extras. and i think people dont really trip off of lesbians that much because they dont make scenes like gays do. and most of those texas lawmakers probably didnt make it illegal for the lesbians prolly b-because they had some common ground they both like females. and on top of that #%@&#%@ women in the ass is not safe and its overrated, so i mean you could look at it like they were tryin to help em(though they prolly weren't)

Lesbians are no different then gay males. They're out there just as much, people just don't tend to care. You'll see women walking around holding hands and just assume they're friends. You don't know, they could be a couple but society is much more accepting of 2 women being intimate then 2 dudes. And I see Shiners and their stupid parades, it annoys me just as much as any other parade but if they file for the permits, get the floats together and march down main street, that's up to them. You don't like it, you're equally entitled to have a "straight pride parade". This really comes down to a majority fearing a minority and not really educating themselves on the matter.

Where you see attention seeking, I see seeking acceptance. Like we said, women holding hands gets a pass. It's accepted whether they're gay or not. Dudes don't get that pass (though in some European nations it's a sign of a good friend to hold another mans hand, I know it happens in Kosovo at least. I think in Germany dudes just make out). It's a matter of them doing it to be accepted. Was Rosa Parks not sitting at the back of the bus "seeking attention"? No, she wanted acceptance. It was "I'm a person just like you, I'm going to sit here just like you." Is Million Man March attention? No, again it's demanding acceptance. It gets peoples attention, but it's goal is for acceptance. Once you accept that, then them running around having parades doesn't become that big of a deal anymore.

Lets say you decide you're going to hit on a woman. I know, I know, it's not going to happen but let's just pretend you get the courage up to do it. How do you know she's straight? You don't, you just assume she is and you take your cue from how she reacts when you talk to her and what not, like most people. Now most gay people are pretty good at knowing when and when not to hit on someone. It's much harder for them as they are the minority but they don't just randomly hit on people just for shits and giggles. They read people just like me or you (hypothetically). So your fear that some flamboyant gay guy is going to run up trying to take you home, rest assured thats as likely as a straight female doing the same thing to you, it's just not happening.

I'm not saying you have to accept THEM as individuals and be all buddy, buddy. You have to accept that they are a reality. That whether they dress like that or not (lets be real, it's a parade not office work, they're obviously dressing up) they are a part of society and should have just as much rights as me or you. Let's take oXJmAuPs2005Xo for example, he dressed up in a dress and wig and puts it on his myspace page. I think that's odd and not my cup of tea but it's his right to do that. Do I think any less of him? No not really, it's hard to think less of zero but that's his choice. Times are changing and it's gotten to a point that if someone is in a certain lifestyle it doesn't change that they are still people and that they still get basic human rights and are equal to everyone else. If the law states all men are created equal then the law has to abide by that. You can't change it because some dude wears orange speedos showing off his bulge.

When i was growing up it wasn't cool to be gay.. it wasn't even cool to look or sound gay.

This week..I had seen so many gay males on Bourbon Street and they are straight open with it like it is cool...

I'm pretty sure the stat of about 10% of the population falls into the "homosexual" category. Frankly, that number hasn't changed much and I'm pretty sure the number of gay people grows according to the percentage of the population so I don't think this fear is warranted. And even if it is, that just means more baby making for the rest of us straight folk. I'm failing to see the problem.

I don't spend anymore time worrying about what other people do in their bedroom than you throw around accussations of someone hating what they fear. To call it natural and moral should be used at your own discretion. There is nothing moral about having a man shit on your dick or laying down and putting his dick in your mouth. What people fear is being a real man, making a family and taking care of the financial and moral obligations to your wife and kids. Anyhow, my point of this post was NOT directed at morals, fears, and to bash gays, but specifically to bring awareness to the possibilty of the black male becoming extinct and a decline in the reproduction of Americans in the future.

Someone mentioned 10% of the population being gay at the same rate for the past 30 years, i'd like to know what percentage of that is associated with Black males and what was the percent of the Black Male 30 years ago opposed to todays percentage of Blacks still exist in America. I would take a wild guess and say with certainty there are more gay black males now than there was 30 years ago.. because I disagree with anyone who says the only difference between now and 30 years ago is that people are open with it.. I believe the gay population amongst blacks, whites, and the brown have increased because it is ACCEPTIBLE now.

It is difficult to dispute that, cause we have no statistics about that for the past.
Like EP already said, there were times in history where homosexuality was openly accepted. Probably even more then nowadays. In all cultures. It is already mentioned in the Bible and the Quran and even before that. It is mentioned as a deadly sin, but it was there. The Bible and the Quran say that Homosexuals need to be stoned to death, you think twice about openly admitting it when you face that punishment.
Also, i have studied Roman History a lot and they engaged in all kinds of homosexual stuff which was at times pretty sick even by our standards. But it was accepted.
I do not believe that the sexual orientation is a matter of choice. From all that we know so far it is genetically and/or psychologically determined. I mean of course, technically it is possible for everyone to engage in homosexual acts, but to be a full fledged homosexual that can only do it that way, is not a matter of choice.
Or lets put it the other way around. I couldnt choose to be homosexual even if i wanted, no matter what i tried. I just dont like men that way and no willpower could change that. It doesnt work like that.
They actually did experiments trying to change peoples sexual orientation, particularly homosexuals and also the other way around. None of it worked.
What i do agree on though is that these "in your face" homosexuals annoy me. That should be a private thing and i cant stand people who turn their sexuality into a public issue and some homosexuals seem to do that. They seem to have a profile neurosis.

Morals is a matter of opinion, but if you're to suggest my morals of acceptance put me in either the category of Atheist (you're wrong) or a bitch (strike 2), then you're sorely mistaken. If you have a problem with 2 men (or women for that matter, I'd love to know your view on lesbians) kissing in public then that is just that, YOUR problem because again you're allowing someone elses (2 consenting adults I might add) lifestyle to affect how you feel. If you're talking natural, then it is. It happens in nature all the time.

My response to your original post was nothing directed at morals or fear. That came later from other posts from other people, I apologize if you felt those posts were directed at you.

Stats of gays on the rise could be viewed a number of different ways. If you want to take it as it's becoming more accepted so more people are turning gay(?) then so be it. That doesn't really explain why the worlds population continues to grow at a record pace. I guess the other straight folk are just reproducing more? I doubt it. Once upon a time on stat forms you didn't even have the option to put gay or straight. So statistically speaking, gays didn't exist not long ago in America. We both know this isn't true. Gays have always been around, it's becoming more acceptable to be out, so more people are coming out but that's the key word 'coming out'. They've always been there, but they're finding it easier to identify as such. Like Sentz stated, it was acceptable in ancient societies to be gay, and it was common practice to be bi-sexual. As religion took hold in a lot of the world, those type of things were shunned. Now did gays just magically get cured or did they go underground? Now that the world is coming around to the acceptance of gay people, the numbers are rising. So again, is that more people jumping on the gay bandwagon or is this underground society coming back into the light? We could go back and forth all day with this, but my original point still stands, if you're concerned about the life span of the black youth and succumbing victim to "the gay" then I think your worries are unfounded. Black on black violence, poverty, racism, peoples unwilling to accept blacks as equals (acceptance..that rings a bell) are bigger factors harming the black communities today then homosexuality. But that's just my opinion.

Anyone has the ability to hide their secrets, gay or straight. Likewise, anyone can pass HIV onto another person. Granted it is easier for a male to pass it onto another male, or female. Sure it's scary, but common sense tells you that if you're sleeping with someone you should be wearing protection anyway. Sex spreading AIDS isn't as big a deal today is it was in the 70's and 80's, though it is always a concern, needle use among drug addicts scares me more. Having my child come across a drug needle on the ground scares me more then people sleeping around.
