When I have a conversation with some American on this topic, they always refer to me as saying that I said ALL Americans are stupid. There are smart people and intellectuals in every country, and if all the regular people are stupid, then the ones who control the country must not be that dumb, right???

The truth is the majority of Americans are dumb. I come to places like Youtube and this to test if I can get a reaction out of someone smart trying to prove me wrong, and I can usually tell he is if he uses good grammar and spelling, instead of someone like these folks throwing out personal insults at me. I have to acknowledge some of them yet even if they have the same mentality:

Keep going at it in a civilized discussion, then result to insults and maybe threats, even if the person is a friggin genius.

I gotta acknowledge Kaliresta for going at it with me for 2-3 months everyday about the Russia vs. America thing, both in terms of economy and military. He saw it as Azure and A Ghost did that there is 'no getting through' to me. That's not the point, you are not trying to convince the person, you are trying to prove him wrong. But unlike Azure and A Ghost, who held in for a shorter time, he threw out direct insults at me, and just like A Ghost, used the smarter but obvious terms: Ignorant, racist, bigoted, neo-nazi, he used my age(discrimination against age) to attack my maturity and intellegence(called me an infant), a troll and told everyone to ignore me which obviously didn't work etc.

If he'd go away he would usually come back after a few days but this time it's been like 2 weeks I haven't seen shit from him. He quit. I kept saying like I win! and he says no you don't etc.

But still, he was a smart American if I ever met one. Alot of his facts and opinions were biased and he did use alot of them from sources that were of course biased and unreliable yet he claimed they were because they were from 'this agency' like the UN and other shit which is 'international' and whatever you have it.

I also acknowledge RWPRules or whatever his name was, a person the same age as me, which fought on Kali's side. Yet he lost morale like a month early, came back and fought for a bit, lost morale and I haven't seen him since. I was on the side of Russians, which most were, there was also alot of Europeans from pro-Western countries, and even Serbians when it came to the Kosovo issue and the NATO bombing to go along with it...

I made a few friends there hahaha...

Majority, not all. And a majority doesn't nessecairly mean 99 percent of the population, even if that is the fact...

Don't blow a fuse after this, I understand what you are trying to say, but I only accept and use biased sources if they piss off my opponents in the debate, not that I don't think it's BS. The reason I argued and wasted my time on Youtube over this is because I had nothing to do at the moment and what better way to spend some time than to argue about something you don't really care and amuse yourself???

As for these videos, they are biased sources, of course, since they usually point to all Americans being stupid. I myself said I only think the majority are, and I did admit there were geniuses, intellectuals and well educated people in the states. There's a difference between 'all' and 'most'.

Why does everyone keep making mistakes like this? Maybe analyzing stuff easily and quickly is hard to do???

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Young Americans may soon have to fight a war in Iraq, but most of them can't even find that country on a map, the National Geographic Society said Wednesday.

The society survey found that only about one in seven -- 13 percent -- of Americans between the age of 18 and 24, the prime age for military warriors, could find Iraq. The score was the same for Iran, an Iraqi neighbor.

Although the majority, 58 percent, of the young Americans surveyed knew that the Taliban and al Qaeda were based in Afghanistan, only 17 percent could find that country on a world map.

A U.S.-led force attacked the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan in October 2001, and President Bush has said he is prepared to use force to rid Iraq of any chemical, nuclear or biological weapons programs.

The survey asked 56 geographic and current events questions of young people in nine countries and scored the results with traditional grades.

The surveyed Americans got a "D," with an average of 23 correct answers. Mexico ranked last with an average score of 21, just three points from a failing grade.

Topping the scoring was Sweden, with an average of 40, followed by Germany and Italy, each with 38. None of the countries got an "A," which required average scores of 42 correct answers or better on the 56 questions.

"Someone once said that war is God's way of teaching geography, but today, apparently war or even the threat of war cannot adequately teach geography," said John Fahey, president of the National Geographic Society.

"More American young people can tell you where an island that the 'Survivor' TV series came from is located than can identify Afghanistan or Iraq. Ironically a TV show seems more real or at least more meaningful interesting or relevant than reality."

National Geographic is convening an international panel of policy makers and business and media leaders to find ways to improve geographic education and to encourage interest in world affairs, the society said.
Other findings from the survey

• Thirty-four percent of the young Americans knew that the island used on last season's "Survivor" show was located in the South Pacific, but only 30 percent could locate the state of New Jersey on a map. The "Survivor" show's location was the Marquesas Islands in the eastern South Pacific.

• When asked to find 10 specific states on a map of the United States, only California and Texas could be located by a large majority of those surveyed. Both states were correctly located by 89 percent of the participants. Only 51 percent could find New York, the nation's third most populous state.

• On a world map, Americans could find on average only seven of 16 countries in the quiz. Only 89 percent of the Americans surveyed could find their own country on the map.

• In the world map test, Swedes could find an average of 13 of the 16 countries. Germans and Italians were next, with an average of 12 each.

• Only 71 percent of the surveyed Americans could locate on the map the Pacific Ocean, the world's largest body of water. Worldwide, three in 10 of those surveyed could not correctly locate the Pacific Ocean.

• Although 81 percent of the surveyed Americans knew that the Middle East is the Earth's largest oil exporter, only 24 percent could find Saudi Arabia on the map.

The international survey was conducted for the National Geographic by RoperASW. The results were based on face-to-face interviews with at least 300 men and women aged 18 to 24 in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Sweden, Britain and the United States.

The questionnaires were in the local language, but the content was universally the same.

Day Treatment

The day treatment program provides an alternative for at-risk youths so they do not have to be removed from their families and placed in residential programs. Instead, they spend six hours each day in school, even in the summer, and return home in the evenings.

Each student works with day treatment teachers to design an individual education plan outlining the goals and expectations of both staff members and the youths. They then work toward those goals at their own pace.

Since the majority of these students did not thrive in the public school system, training toward General Educational Development (G.E.D.) is offered.
