here in essex county, some of the real gangs that are active are North Side Killa Ganstas(nskg). they are crips and they control that park in east orange by north walnut street. gangsta killa bloods(GKB) are in north newark in those projects down between rt. 21 broadway. they are also in EO and other places i think. SMM(sex money murder bloods). i see their graffiti in differnt places but i don't where they are from. grape street crips(supposedly official, according to the newspaper) is in the pennington court projects on the east side. Nine Tre Bloods are in EO and so is Double I Bloods. im not sure exactly where in EO these gangs are, i believe in the part near roseville section of newark. 108 is a gang that has been around from before the bloods and crips. they are in the projects on 108 parrow street in orange.

we have latin kings and zulu nation in north jersey too. see mexican gang graffiti in a lot of places but i think meixcan gangs in nj are only really acitve in passaic and paterson. there are a lot really small mexican gangs there.

hatian outlaws(HOL) is another gang. the police said they were "not a gang but more of a group" after they did a drive by that killed a man and a liitle girl. how's that for positive spin. the police around here do that a lot. they down play down problems becasue they don't what to admit that things are out of control.

there was also a gang recently called "the conrail boys" that got busted by the fbi. they stole many millions of dallors in goods from freight trains.

here in nj we always had small time local gangs that called themselves crews and clicks. these were not LA type gangs. alot of them were just some guys that grew up together doing dirt. when they all locked up or go their seperate ways or whatever, the crew is over. none of this one gangs holds down a neighborhood for generations stuff. also gangs out here often don't realy have clearly defined territories with boundries. they just claim a corner or dope spot or whatever.

tupac's posse was a bunch of guys from montclair and surrounding area. he was related to some of them i think. they had this crew called NSN(new street niggaz) new street and bloomfield ave used to be a big dope spot back like ten years ago. there would always be like 20 to 50 dudes hangin there when i was growing up. they wrote a lot graffiti and fatal hussein says someting about "new street" in makaveli's "hail mary." a bunch of those guys are dead now i hear. evey little neighborhood had some guys like this that called themselves something. now its this bloods and crips BS. seriously, some of these young "thugs" on the streets out here probably don't even know crips and bloods came from LA. that's how fake and corny shit is. also, bloods and crips here mix in chicago gang shit like pitch forks and stars with their graffiti.

essex county has two county jails, the old one in newark and the caldwell annex in caldwell. bloods get sent to newark and crips to caldwell.


my sources are the local newspaper(star ledger), my own damn eyes and what people tell me. i take everthing with a grain of salt because a lot of people don't know what they are talking about and their are a lot or perpatrators out here. i'm not an authority. feel free to add to or correct any errors in my post people. i know there are people out their who know a lot more about this than me.

SMM was runnin on ocean ave and stegman in jersey city for a bit but i heard they got raided real bad in a angeldust sting. Duncan ,Marion and Curries Woods are all bloods from what ive heard. Hoboken Projects were all Latin King for a while but i heard they got raided in 03 too. I know hoboken projects have blood activity . Communipaw and Van Horne is crip last time I checked. Union City has lite gang activity, including some MS13 and MS14. No crips and bloods at all. All the latin kings disapeared or went somewere else.
