Yeah, it's a very popular site run by well known mob expert Jerry Capeci. For a long time it was free to read but a few months ago it became a pay site.

Capeci said that money was needed to keep the site going. I don't know if I believe that. It was going fine for years with no problem. He might just be trying to make an extra buck. Problem is, his articles on not as good as they used to be. Many of his sources seem to have dried up in recent years. Anyway, his weekly articles are posted on the other forum anyway.

It's a pay site now? That sucks. It's not going to be around long, then. Sounds like an act of desperation, to me. He's not getting enough web hits anymore to generate ad revenue, so he's charging his loyal readers to visit. People aren't as interested in Cosa Nostra as they were 10 years ago. The movie Casino really re-charged that interest and then when the Sopranos started, the interest really gained traction. Everyone was hitting sites like Gangland news to try and figure out who Tony's crew was based on.
