not meaning to be disrespectful towards american people in general, but it seems that male rape in the us prison system is an accepted facet of american criminal culture. i'm not saying that it never happens in the uk, but a rapist would definitely be ostracised by his fellow prisoners, and would be a target of violence to the point where he would have to be put on rule 43 segregation with the other nonces (sex cases). however in the states it seems that a large amount of prisoners especially those in gangs consider this to be acceptable behaviour.
i understand that the us prison system is harsher than the prison system in the uk, as well as the fact you have organised prison gangs and racial segregation which we dont, but surely, fucking a next man up his arse is animal behaviour at the best of times, its even worse if the man in question dont want his arse fucked. you even have conjugal visits stateside which we dont, so whats the excuse? its not big and bad, its just dirty and AIDS spreading. inmates should lay down a code that rapists get stabbed.
can anyone explain how this became so prevalent.

It happens in UK prisons too, not very often though, but I've heard about it happening to people a few times, usually over a beef tho.

i know it happens in english jails, cant say ive ever heard of it over people rowing, how sick is that? batter someone or stab them or jug them sure, but fuck them up the arse? no man, thats just nasty. i cant imagine people around them people responding to it well either as i said in the last post, surely theyre seen as a wrongun after that.

On one hand, you have these busters who hide behind a mask and tattoos like some of you do your computer screen.. and so when they get exposed they get what they deserve- - the ultimate disrespect and your manhood taken. Nobody respects the dude getting his guts busted. Now you have to live with that scar for the rest of your life.

Then you have the ones who have the female physique or the look of a woman.. and the sick psycho predators try to, or takes advantage of them. To me you have to look at the predators sideways because thats a straight up homosexual predator. But if you do look feminant or light skin (or white or mexican or indian) with the long hair (pony tails) then you have to stay down shitty and handle your business because you will get tested.

On the other hand you have these dudes in great physical shape, good health, and mad at the world because they have life in prison and will never get laid again; some are jealous because you have a release date, and others are just straight up sick- booty bandits- so if they can't manipulate you then they over power you and eventually take it from you.

As far as whats being done to stop it- in California Prisons hiv/aids patients used to go to specific prison yards to prevent the spread of aids. I think del Norte in Chino, Vacaville, and so forth housed aids/hiv patients.. but in the mid 90's it was ruled unconstitutional and so they intergrated aids/hiv patients with general population in most prisons.

California Prisons (CDC) also came out with a rule where it is mandatory that they send a copy of the infraction (homosexual act) to your wife or mother to let her know of your actions in hope that two things happen- you cut out the gay shit, or the women have you take an aids test before you spread the possible disease on congical visits or after being released from prison.

Most any gang does not accept homosexual activities because it not only makes your car look weak, its a security risk; caring for a homosexual or fighting over a homosexual can run your car into a wreck. Thats pretty much the rule with gang bangers/prison gangs, anything else is an exception.

When Magic Johnson got hiv a lot of the gangbangers with life let go of their homosexual tendencies just like gangmembers let go of their political alliance when prison organization (CCO, Blue Notes etc) disbanded.

So in my honest opinion- rape does happen but generally overrated in prison. Now I heard stories and seen documentaries about Angola, but Louisiana and California are different.

Further, there are enough homosexuals in prison now that there is little need to 'rape' an inmate. There's gays from every ethnic background and they too- happen to be criminals and must serve their debt to society via state/federal prison.

macminister- i just explaining an apparent difference between jails in england and america, no doubt your right and the risk is overrated, at the end of the day i can only speak on the english system. but i agree with you, you would have to kill me before you stuck your cock up my arse.

Allhood makes a good point though, I ain't ever been to the US or anything, read some stuff written by guys who did time there and stuff, can't say how true it is or not, or how much is for publicity, but from what I've read in various places, there are enough homosexuals/prostitutes in prison to account for most of what goes on, but certainly it is made to SOUND like rape is more common over there than here.

My point about it being over beef usually is along the lines of what Allhood said as well, it's about the guy losing his manhood. There was a story years about this guy who was a banger over here, supposedly a nutjob, he spiked some girls drink one day and had his way with her. Turned out girl had a brother who was quite psycho too, so the dude repaid it, quite literally, by grabbing the guy in a pub and. . well, you know the rest. Point is though, this was in the 90's at some point, and even to this day, anytime somebody mentions that guy as being a hard hitter, it always gets brought up "he aint shit, dude got bummed in a pub". In that way, it's a lot harder hitting than any kind of physical attack, though not a lot of people would be willing to do it still.

I always thought as long as you stand up for yourself, don't back down etc, you should be alright from anything like that inside anyway. I was always told just to never let anyone get away with anything if locked up, you gotta stand your ground, take a beatdown if you have to, just never lose your respect, it keeps you safe.

Supposed to have happened in a pub up there, guy went by the name Billa, pakistani guy, think he owned a taxi firm over there later on.
