Hello,
I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on italian oc in the UK. I have read that there has been one arrest in Lancashire recently involving a camorra guy on the run. A few years ago a guy called la torre was running things up in Aberdeen Scotland for his clan of the camorra until his arrest, and Raffaele Caldarelle was running a shoe shop in east london until he got caught up with.
Then you have Ann Hathaway who was allegedly running things for her husband Antonio Rinzivillo who is a sicilian mafia member. I have also come across references to the the Cuntrera-Caruana clan in Woking, England (ok I'll admit I got it from wikipedia). I have also read somewhere that the N'drangheta is investing heavily in London.
What I would like to know is for the 3 main italian syndicates (Mafia, Camorra, N'drangheta) what are their main activities in the UK? Is it just a place for guys on the run to hide out, launder money, or have any crews/clans established bases of operations here much like the other foreign syndicates have? I'm new to this forum and would appreciate any information anyone has regarding this topic.

I am guessing they are not very big in England... I tried typing, "Italian mafia in England" many times in the past and came up with nothing. I typed it again and still came up with nothing. All I seen was two Italians found dead and an Italian boss being caught.

England Fears Mob War
For the last 18 months British authorities have been investigating the Camorra or Neapolitan Mafia, and are searching for five individuals in Lancashire linked to two Camorristi arrested within the last two years who resided in England:
Mafia "godfather" Gennaro Panzuto, 34, lived in a £200,000 rented semi in Catterall, near Garstang, Lancs, when he was arrested 18 months ago. He had fled to the UK in 2006 following a bloody turf war in Naples and was wanted over four murders. Associate Giuseppe Persico, 34, lived in nearby Chorley for two years, before being arrested in Portugal and extradited to face serious charges.
The investigation has revealed that the 'Ndrangheta or Calabrian Mafia also is operating in northern England, and officals expressed concerns over mob turf wars:
Intelligence indicates that members of the rival Calabria Mafia – more discreet but every bit as ruthless – also operate in the North of England. A source said: "They are two of Italy’s most hardened Mafia gangs and if they come across each other anywhere there could be serious bloodshed."http://bitterqueen.typepad.com/friends_ ... b-war.htmli tried it of course italian mafia is present in uk

not true, this comes from a link from a gay dude who is based in america and who is interested in how mafia families used to run gay bars...not the best source about crime in the uk.
not saying italian OC dont land in england, but not in force and historically they tend to use it as a place 'away from it all', they go about their business quietly, its an excellent place to launder money and for any financial services they need.
we dont have active italian mob families in england.

there is not much about organized crime in the uk i know the messina brothers run london in the past anyway la torre family is active in scotland the camorra is active in london cosa nostra and ndrangheta have activities there of course i think local investigators don't know about organized crime i mean like the true mafia that operates in italy for example they are accostumed more to juvenile gangs or low-level gangs than oc there

Why is this funny? If I scroll page after page after pafe and come up with very little. It kind of says something about the Italians in England. I mean if I type Italian mafia in America, thousands and thousands of pages come up. For the Uk, all that came up was some boss on the run and two bodies popping up tied to the Italians.

Of course they dont, Ndrangheta really runs England. It killed the presidents brother to control all of the activities in London I kid not you.
