Yeah.. its pretty obvious that Kobe isn't the best player in the league this year, but its still hard not to pick Kobe for the last shot of the game or the last 30 seconds of a game. He's a great closer.
D. Wade said before the season started that he was going to play hrd this year because his critics were doubting his skill/performances.
L. James said he was inspired by Kobe in the Olympics and was going to step his game up also.
Kobe on the otherhand has always played terrible when teams throw double and triple teams at him because he refuses to pass the ball and instead makes too unnescesary turnovers. With 3 championships and last years MVP honors, he is playing more within the system/triangle offense this year. He is able to relax more and create shots for his teammates. Another Championship would be much more important to him and the fans than another scoring title.
Of the three, I think LeBron has definitely played the best and is the frontrunner for this years MVP and possible Finals appearance.. his game is definitely above Kobe's right now- he's a big dude, still young, very athletic, and has a lot of heart.
I'd like to see Kobe get his assist up a little more- its crazy to think Kobe has a better shooting percentage than anyone.. he takes the worse shots, draws more triple teams than any guard in the league, takes the most buzzard shots in the league, and shoots a lot of turnaround jumpers and beyond the perimiter -and alot of off balance shots.. anyone who shoots a worse percentage than Kobe needs his J checked!
