I met a guy from North Hollywood Boyz & he told me that they were cool with Clanton out there in North Hollywood....this was a few years ago when i met him. He took me by their hood...i think it was off of Oxnard St. He said they both had major beef with North Hollywood Locos.

Their hood is on Oxnard and Witnol hwy. Their biggest rival is Veinland boys.
See right in the middle of the map where it says 14th st. place. 14th st place used to be named Clanton street, Thats the original hood.

Yeah when i would talk to that guy from NHBZ, he would mention Vineland Boys & how they didn't get along with them either...When he took us around over there, i remember seeing alot of wallbanging going on between C14/NHBZ, VBS & NHLS

Re: Clanton Hoods
So does VBS got at it more with the hoods in Pacoima or North Hollywood (C14, NHBZ, NHLS)?
Re: Clanton Hoods
So which of the Clanton neighborhoods is the deepest/most active nowadays? North Hollywood? Hollywood? East South Central? And as far as their enemies, do they beef with just about everyone?
Re: Clanton Hoods
id love to know more about c14, maravilla, 38, wf....it amazes me that theyre still going today 70+ years after they were started, it gives credence to the point of view that they are neighborhoods rather than just gangs if that makes sense at all, there must be 70 year old retired ogs from them sets, i bet they got some OUTLANDISH stories to tell, i wonder if they recognize how their gangs are today or whether they think its changed for the worse beyond recognitionjoker123 wrote:SIMON YEA THEYRE ONE THE GANGS THAT HAS BEING SINCE 1940'S...I HEARD BECAUSE OF DIS FOOS 18ST WAS CREATED...PSYCLONE wrote:from what i have read they have been around since atleast the 1940's,along with hoyo mv,38st,white fence
i swear to god one day im gonna write a book on this shit...apart from the g's themselves its like apart from a few names and big sets the stories have been ignored....when i look at the shit that ross kemp wrote over here in the uk and got a book deal out of,oh my days....

Re: Clanton Hoods
Clanton 14th Street has had 5 hoods, and the North Hollywood is their 4th Hood, and still active. Their first hood in Pico Union has been taken over by 18th Street, their 2nd Hood was in the Mid City area by Western & Pico towards Wilshire and that is now Mid City Stoners and several Koreans moved into that area, their 3rd Hood was in Hollywood, but that area is now MS, although there are a few C14 dudes just south of MS. These 3 hoods are weak today.
The 4th hood in North Hollywood is pretty active along with the 5th hood on the Eastside on 33rd Street is active too.

36th Street is on 36th Street to MLK. These neighborhoods are really small on the East Side.

Re: Clanton Hoods
Back in 2004 Gibby posted this comment about the Clanton Hoods
- 1st Hood: Pico Union area
- 2nd Hood: Pico Western
- 3rd Hood: Hollywood
- 4th Hood: North Hollywood
- 5th Hood: East Side of South LA near 36th Street
On the page i wrote about the first hood someone commented that the East Side was the first hood, but Clanton Street does not go through there. But I know there was Clanton off of 14th Street and Central back in the day, and not sure if this was their original area.
http://www.streetgangs.com/hispanic/cit ... on14th_1st
I am a bit confused on the ordering of their hoods and I want to get it right. Gibby didnt mention what number the Eastside Hood on 36th is. I put it as 5th.
What it all comes down too is someone from whatever hood decidng that a new side needs to be formed. In Clantones case they call North Hollywod their 4th hood. The have this thing of labelling hoods by numbers. Pico Union is 1st, Pico/Hobart is 2nd, Melrose/Kingsley is 3rd, and NH is 4th. All these hoods claim WS. You would think that it would be based on size and actually controlled area. I think Clantone has proven they have enough in NH to claim it as NS, theyve been thier long enough. NH is more of a hood for them then thier 1st and 2nd which they totally lost to XV3, MCS, PBS etc.
- 1st Hood: Pico Union area
- 2nd Hood: Pico Western
- 3rd Hood: Hollywood
- 4th Hood: North Hollywood
- 5th Hood: East Side of South LA near 36th Street

the Eastside hood is/was an extension of the Original Hood off Central & 14st......
ive mention this before, they had a click in the Hyde Park Area on 66th.St & 11th Ave throughout the 1980s, by the 1990's the F13Locos from the Harvard Park area replaced them.
WS C14 x RSC14 Smokey Sleepy Silent Crow etc......they fought F13LS in 62 Brim Hood..C14(60 hood) v F13 (62 Hood) .......
If you bump into their Vets, they have RSC14 tattoos.....

So the eastside Hood is the 1st hood and not the Pico-Union one. Would Pico-Union be the 2nd Hood or is it 1st Hood because it is the 1st Westside Hood?

Here is a map from 1978 that shows the four Clanton hoods. I always thought Pico-Union hood in Westlake was the first one.

Re: Clanton Hoods
There was a Clanton 14st flick floating around the internet. It had the Original CLanton Street in the background....
im told the Original Clanton Street was off Central Ave & 14th Street, in that area..
here it goes....
Clanton 14 was created in 1921 on Clanton Street in Los Angeles, California. During World War II Los Angeles renamed Clanton Street to 14th Street, which is why they are called Clanton 14. In 1942, member Frank Torres was shot by a member of the First Street Gang at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum during a city high school track meet. This caused city officials to realize there had been a Pachuco gang problem in the city, whilst the Sleepy Lagoon incident with the 38th Street gang had national news media coverage on the Los Angeles gang problem leading to the 1943 Zoot Suit Riots. Clanton 14's recruiting policy has remained strict over the decades. Generally, they only allow people of Hispanic descent to join their ranks. Refusal to allow some to join lead to the creation of the infamous 18th Street gang. It was around 1964-65 the 18th Street gang was formed by an American Samoan who grew up in the Pico Union area of Los Angeles named Rocky Glover who was known for actively recruiting children, foreigners and others not allowed in Clanton 14. The 18th Street gang was the first Hispanic gang to recruit African-Americans as well. Today Clanton 14 and 18th Street are bitter rivals that has left a trail of bloodshed over the decades. The Los Angeles Police Department used to nickname the 18th Street gang Clanton Throw-aways.
