Snoop Dogg is expanding his investment in football from a youth league to a women's league. LAFL, standing for Lady Arena Football League, is not to be confused with LFL, an acronym for Lingerie Football League. Still, the league promises to be no less scintillating. They are a self-described "8 on 8 Full Contact Football League which play in Lingerie Style Uniforms." Currently there are four active teams named Lady Houston Panthers, New Orleans Lady Dollz, Los Angeles Rideretts and Texas Mighty Diamonds.
The West Coast rapper has put his money in shares behind the Los Angeles Rideretts. While the Snoop Youth Football League incorporates a full program to foster value for education, discipline, integrity and healthy competition amongst inner-city children, culminating in a yearly "Snooper Bowl" championship, whether his involvement with LAFL will go beyond financing, or if the investment is meant to further their cause of garnering appreciation of female athletes' talent while "setting a platform for ladies to be beautiful on and off the field [sic]," has not been spoken for.
The LAFL will start its inaugural season this May.
