19"36" is for the year they started their gang in the "flatlands" - north L.B. according to some story that this krazy once told me. "Unknown if true"

yeah they been at it since the old days cause they cool with cv3 who was big back than but though it was not on i though they was more on blp and pillow shit list
and honestly santana tg's are more on that sk shit than anything else ..those are self destruction tactitians and it went rite back at them
and their war with cv's was never
a big war comparable with what went down with nsa ville for years
the ville are reall with waring with mex and since the 80's tanas are known to hate and trip more on blacc gangs like sscc lpp
but you never know ...new age era but if largo with santos go full power on their 2 blocks they better extand their truce love train of brothahood down south
but after aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll the shit they did ....i doupt they gonna find any suport and i dont give tana tg a summer in compton ....in bellflower maybe yeah but largo is close to their homes maybe in paramount or somewere in lynwood between two midget dukes clicc exiled from compton they might survive behind tainted window just the time them vatos chill down ...cause they gonna catch the flu only thru the wind of the bullet strom that will cheesyfied their tucklane ....

Bumper wrote: Big Listo you are correct far as the 36 meaning, not many people know that. 36 is for "Comptone firme" (CVL36 Comptone Varrio Largo Comptone Firme ), like you said the 3 is for Comptone and the 6 is for firme. finest not.
Got to give you props.

For the curious minds CV3 Comptone Varrio Trese, the 3 meaning Comptone.
this was a firme ass thread

damn I would have bet money …

• that the origin of CV Largo 36 was because of 136th street

• and that the origin of CV 3 was because of 133rd street

these streets run thru their respective original hood’s

but according to these vatos from Compton, long before they all officially threw the CV on it, they had different ways to identify and call their varrios

• 36 is for "Compton firme /finest" and therefore the original name of their varrio was Largo 36 (pre CV)

• Varrio Tres aka La Tres was simply for third letter “C” for Compton (pre CV)

Shiitt… with this information, maybe CV 70’s didn’t start on 70th Street in North Long Beach – like myself and many others think

Compton vatos back then had a crazy way to come up with their varrio name

So I guess anything is possible … perhaps even naming your varrio after the year they originated = 1970 … CV 70’s

Something no other varrio has even done

ok but on the east side they was no 70 presence in the early 70's on greenleaf ...and on the westside i wonder how it could be carson 70 street it would be more 167st ... so long beach 70 street is also in paramount they was more on long beach paramount in the days and in east compton they around lpp always was to my knowledge and in front of cpt hi .

I dont know that to be an absolute fact,

but to me personally it would make more sense to be named after a street (70th Street)

than to be named after a year????

you gotta remember - Chicanos are very geographical when naming our varrios and hang-outs

yes the CV70s thing is strange

i think CV70s is older than that, i think mid to late 60s but 1970 doesnt sound right

remember one of the founders of lueders park boys was a CV70s at first

lueders park got started in 68-69 thats a proven fact, so how he was a cv70 first when they didnt even started by than

we need a old map that shows us if compton had a 70 street right where greenleaf runs today

and for cv3

i think it is true that they got started on 133rd because that would make sence

that would put CV36 CV3 and CVTF all in the same area between alameda and willowbrook, seems like that was one of the first hispanic communities in compton along with the cv155 area

compton was a almost all white city back than with sprinkles of hispanic communities, i think that the area where they located nowadays around oak park was white back than. when the demographic shift kicked in they relocated from 133rd to oak park area. i guess the explanation 3 for C(ompton) came later because most of em didnt knew they own roots or tried to swep it under the rug that they started somewhere else

the area around oak park was always mexican and guetto and always the front line of cv3 vs lvpg no the white zone in the days ...well its most of es cpt were wlh kpcc nhcc sscc are the mex zone was willowbrook tracc both sides butt goin as far as oak park east and 133rd west no for cv70 my guess is maybe they was a north long beach gang cause heard of them in paamount side of the river in the days i would not say 70 stand for their years even the lb wc80's a gang of people though it was their year when it was their blocc number without the zero at the end

Allhood Publications Issue 7
-Lueders Park Piru
-Page 49

CV3 was formed out of 3 smaller gangs.
-Dead End
-Largo
-Tortilla Flats

Compton Varrio Tres (Three Varrios)

They formed an alliance to go against the much bigger and more violent 155th Streeters aka CV155

Is CV133 the same thing as CV3? Because I thought it was 2 different hoods but they're both called "Las Tres", which I thought was a name for CV3.

I got it from a variety of sources..

Criminal Law Court Cases from the 1970s, a newspaper article in the 80s, online court records from Compton police gang expert testimony, and from a book written by an ex gang cop from Compton.

I'd have to think they are more credible than a bunch of younger speculators at an online gang website
