66 is the most active 6-pack hood in the last decade, they have come a long way from being hustlers and the last set accepted into the 6-pack

It is 69 East Coast day today

June is their hood week because 62 66 68 and 69 all have their hood days a few days apart

62 is their big day (June 2nd) since 62 is the unofficial "leader" of East Coast Crips....

69s were the originals, they kicked off the war with the Swans and that is East Coast Crips historic enemy

they were also one of the first ECs to war with Hoovers

a lot of originals came from 69 East Coast....they say Raymond Washington himself was linked to them....



62s became super deep in the 1980s while the 69s hood started splitting (enter 66 and 68)

62 started the fued with the 52 Broadway's, turned the 59 East Coasts, pushed lines on the bloods in the east side bottoms (Villians, pueblos, etc), and pushed that Neighbor Hood Crip issue onto the rest of the 6-pac

62 also were the first to get an injunction in the early 1980s

62 and 69 were the 6-pac powerhouses, but 62 eventually took the reigns with their numbers and influence and became the shotcallers of 1st to 190 so to speak ....

that's why I say 62 EC day is ECCs biggest celebration....they have thrown their weight around the most



as far as the last decade or so, it is definitely 66 doing the most, it's surprising because they were the least respected during the war years, they would get bullied by the rest of the 6-pac

but they are now the most turned up without a doubt

walls tell a lot, 66 hit up all over Broadway, that's a busy ass street with a lot of traffic, so if your claiming that street you are the most visible set that everybody is going to run across

there are a couple of incidents that showed 66 is not playing, one was the internal incident where 66 knocked down other 6/packs when they were tested....it showed that 66 was no longer going to be bullied

Another was when the incident with Grapes started, 66 brang it to the grapes swiftly, riding through their projects and knocking them down

another example is 65th and broadway has now replaced the old 6-pack headquarters in 69 hood (the apartments) that were knocked down

now 66 headquarters is the headquarters for the 6-pack...that adds more to their pull within the 6-pack and to their recruits...

Were the 6-Pack the only ones to not have any southsiders in their turf? 69 was always a target. I remember when they decided to knock down those apartments a F13 mentioned that in a newspaper interview. Everybody knew that was the Coast main hang out.

6-pack pushes a cold line on any F13 in the area, that's a no go zone for Florencia

as far as the apartments (death lane) all Coasts hung there not just 69, on any given day you were liable to see Coasts 1st to 190 hanging at those apartments on 69th and Main, that was like East Coasts south central headquarters

now the new Coast headquarters is 66 hood (65th & Broadway) a lot of different hoods come and post there

the 69s hang there or the apartments on 71st and Main is their new spot...but nothing like the old blue apartments
