East Coast Vs. West Coast Part II? Kendrick & the KONY title

Unread post by Cold Bear » August 16th, 2013, 6:53 am

Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar claimed King of New York status on a recent guest appearance on Big Sean's track 'Control'

The internet went nuts!

New York cats got mad but it's not too many people to do a worthy response since Kendrick killed it on the original verse so hard
Only Joell Ortiz and Papoose really came with it

Joell kept it on some hip hop shit but papoose was talking kinda greasy on there!

If kendrick responds he should shoutout Pap's manager / the dude who put him on Kay Slay being kinda shook while he was touring Compton.

Terrible beat on that song. Well, I've never liked Kendrick anyway... At 90's west coast had artists like Too Short, Spice 1, Rappin 4-Tay, Above The Law, Cougnut, DJ Quik, etc., etc. And now they have Kendrick Lamar. Some of those old guys from the 90's are still today making better albums than Kendrick Lamar probably ever will.

Lupe killed Kendrick with SLR2/SLR3

Lupe is way better then Kendrick and he's been black balled already and still managed to resurface just not on the same level he once was before all that....

Are you serious! Kendrick is with Dre.... he cannot do any wrong. The guys you mentions cannot stand a chance with Kendrick. Kendrick is in a league of himself. He is the King of West Coast! Period. He has it all. Dr. Quick was cool in his period but he did not have what Kendrick has. I beg u to give Kendrick another listen. He is a lyricist and he is on that beast mode thank. His voice has so many levels.
