Sol Valle 13 (SV 13) in Sun Valley, CA

Many neighborhoods can not maintain themselves with the level of competition. They may get pulled into other neighborhoods or they just fade out. Only discuss those areas from LOS ANGELES that are gone.

This gang apparently existed in Sun Valley back in the day and I've never heard of it until I searched through the forums here. What happened to them?

growing up vineland boyz was at its peak in sv/noho.

violent boyz.

i heard sol 13 was way before vbs but died off.

another rumor was leftover sol 13 joined vbs.

supposedly vineland was a bunch of smaller hoods who teamed up including sol valle 13.

that's why vbs was all over noho and sun valley.

Sol Trece was an old gang that goes back to the 70's. They used to kick it at the Telfair apartments by the old Byrd MS. They pretty much died out on their own. Used to beef big time with ns 18th st. Vineland Boys were started by members of ns 18th st in the late 80's. That's why they had a presence in North Hollywood. Was busted with a couple of these dudes back in 92.

They died out? No wonder i've never heard of them. Growing up in noho ive only ever heard of Vineland Boys and the SV Diablos.

Some of them moved to the South San Diego around 1988 and started jumping in locals. They tried claiming a hood that was already spoken for and got handed the blues. They became nomads after that. They are pretty much a non factor (if they are not inactive) in San Diego. Local clickas put so much pressure on them in the beginning that the OGs quit wearing Dodgers hats and and quit claiming LA roots. They renamed themselves 'South Side Diablos'. South Side not just because they were SUR but because there is a hood in the north part of San Diego called Escondido Diablos. When they first came down they tried to click up with another LA hood that set up in the same area of San Diego. That hood was 'Clarence Street Locos'. Clarence street did the same thing. Go to San Diego - set up in someones back yard - and still claimed 'LA' roots. Same thing happened to them. Except LA's Clarence Street Locos disowned them due to them snitching on San Diego hoods that were smashing on them. Clarence Street ended turning into Coronado Ave Locos and then went inactive.
