Gang related court documents

Unread post by AmericanZombie » January 12th, 2019, 9:08 pm

Sometimes I’ll search these court sites for gang related court decisions.

If anyone here is interested in these I’ll keep posting the stuff I’ve found just by searching and maybe others can share whatever you’ve found too. I mostly have Inland Empire related cases but I found some LA county related cases too.

This one is about a black gang member from Metro 13 killing an El Sereno gang member.

Are Metro 13 and El Sereno still active? I don’t see them highlighted on that gang map in the “Hispanic” section.

I’d be very surprised if EL Sereno and Metro13 weren’t active. Especially El Sereno.

Here’s another story about a girl claiming 18th Street Los Players getting herself killed and her Brother from Columbia Lil Cycos shot in the head, by SC 18th Street Los Gangsters.

Yea, and This is how I think Dunbar’s number applies to street gangs:
Dunbar's number is a suggested cognitive limit to the number of people with whom one can maintain stable social relationships—relationships in which an individual knows who each person is and how each person relates to every other person.[1][2] This number was first proposed in the 1990s by British anthropologist Robin Dunbar, who found a correlation between primate brain size and average social group size.[3] By using the average human brain size and extrapolating from the results of primates, he proposed that humans can comfortably maintain only 150 stable relationships.[4] Dunbar explained it informally as "the number of people you would not feel embarrassed about joining uninvited for a drink if you happened to bump into them in a bar".[5]
You can’t truly have 1,000, 2,000 + homies! It’s impossible.

2007: WS Playboys murder someone from Drifters Gang

https://www.leagle.com/decision/incaco20141210028
The hub of Drifters territory was the neighborhood surrounding Pico Boulevard and Magnolia Street. This neighborhood shared some middle and high schools with Playboys territory. At the time of the shooting the Playboys gang and the Drifters were involved in an ongoing struggle for control of the schools, resulting in fights designed to make students want to join the stronger gang and afraid to join the weaker gang. In August 2007, the Playboys gang was dominating the Drifters. Playboys territory was vast compared to the Drifters's territory, and Drifters were victims about five times more often than Playboys.

2010 El Monte Flores gang member shoots and kills Little Loco from East Side Bolen
https://www.leagle.com/decision/incaco20190102004

A. The Shooting

Shortly before midnight on December 23, 2010 David Deanda, Iliana Ortiz, Gabriel Chavez, and Louie Fraijo attended a party with approximately 20 people at a house in Baldwin Park. Ortiz stayed at the party for a while, drinking shots of tequila. When she decided to leave, Deanda walked her out.

After Ortiz and Deanda went outside, a person walking on the street approached the house, and Deanda asked, "Where you from?" The person said, "Flores." Deanda said he was "Little Loco from East Side Bolen" and "Fuck Flores." As soon as Deanda identified himself, the person "started shooting." Deanda ducked to the floor, but when he saw Ortiz was still standing, "frozen," he stood up again to push her to the floor. When Deanda stood up, the bullets hit him. Ortiz saw blood "all over" and screamed for someone to call 911. After firing multiple shots, the shooter "jumped in the car and took off." Deanda died from five gunshot wounds. The police recovered 12 casings at the scene.

Northside Colton gang member shoots and kills two Verdugo Flats gang members for hanging out in his hood with their cousin, who was also a member of Northside Colton

https://www.leagle.com/decision/incaco20140611014
Avila testified that a short time later, Ramos returned carrying a 30-30 rifle partially concealed under his sweater. Ramos walked up to Avila, said, "Check this out" and pointed the rifle at Avila while they stood on the sidewalk. Although the barrel of the rifle was only about six inches from Avila's chest, Avila said he initially was not worried because he believed Ramos was "playing around." Chavez, who was standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Avila, told Ramos not to point the gun at his cousin and used his right hand to swipe the rifle away. Avila testified that Ramos in response shot Chavez twice in the torso at point-blank range, killing him. Ramos then turned the weapon on Hale, who was standing on the grass about 20 feet away. Hale spun around as he was fatally hit by gunfire from the rifle

The father of one of the Verdugo Flats members that was killed was also from The Flats, tried to retaliate by shooting a random guy from northside Colton.

https://www.leagle.com/decision/incaco20131127052
In October 2006, Rudy Ramos, a member of the Northside Colton gang, shot and killed defendant's son, Robert Chavez, Jr., and another man. Defendant was a member of the Verdugo Flats gang, a rival of Northside Colton.

.......

Defendant drove the group to Pear Street, a cul-de-sac in the heart of Verdugo Flats territory. Defendant parked and told the men to get out so the car would not "smell like weed." Defendant got out of the driver's seat, said, "`Fuck Northside Colton,'" and pointed a gun at Martinez, who had just exited the car from the rear passenger side. Martinez said he had had nothing to do with it, and "`I'm a father.'" Defendant responded, "`I'm a father too.'"
