Your right.
But this is not being taught today. These were political cartoons back in the 1800s. It said "Irish Famine" so that would put them around the 1840s.

This looked like a history report on the way English viewed different cultures through time.

The paper was probably current but the info and events were in the past.

Irish were treated as bad as the early blacks upon arival to America. Irish would come off the boats and there would be Americans throwing rocks at them and spitting at them and sh*t. We had seperate waterfountains too, seperate bathrooms, and the most common sign on a store window was "IRISH NEED NOT APPLY".

Interesting fact, the common clown was created to ridicule the Irish.
The red nose from drinking, the bright red hair, the red paint on the mouth represented a bloody mouth from fighting, and of course the patches on the clothes, because the Irish were poor as sh*t.

Im an American, but I wear the Irish flag with more pride the red white and blue could ever give me. My people fought through that sh*t, survived it, and now Irish in America are just as normal and accepted as 4th of July. But I know the history.

what's interesting is blacks also kill/hate other blacks, cripps and bloods killing each other and all, but people generally think whites hate kill each other the most (because of all the wars in Europe I think). SOme AB guy also wrote that white people were not unified and would get grouped on in prison before the white gangs started forming, but what's funny is almost all the white gangs are nazis and don't fight each other like bloods and cripps despite the fact that alot of whites think "the white man walks alone by nature".

The fight has been going on a long time. Back in the 1600's, the best part of Ireland (the Northern part) was taken from the native Catholics and was given to Protestant settlers. The fighting has been going on ever since.

When I went to Northern Ireland years ago, it was VERY tense. You could tell who was Catholic and who was Protestant. The Catholics were poor, lived in government housing, and had fences painted green, white, and orange. The Protestants lived in the wealthy neighborhoods, went to private schools, and had the English flag painted on everything (red, white, and blue).

Bloody Sunday happened in 1972 when British soldiers opened fire and killed 13 (later 14) IRA members who were illegally protesting.

The Irish were called the "white niggers" when they first started to arrive here. In fact, as one poster already comment, many political cartoons depeicted the Irish in the same derogatory fashions and compared the two, physically and mentally.

Invincible many whites do war on each other inside. I have seen alot of roll up calls between white crews inside and out. Right now BBH and the skins have an onsight. The tip is backing out of backing the nlr and the white boys from iE just lit up some low riders. There is not as much unity as there used to be. In Socal pens whites are clicking up along north and south colors a little bit more each day and no matter how much the lifers want to keep the peace its going to get bad soon especialy with the new deseg laws that are being pushed.
