Youre an East SIder and dont claim 13??? are you mexican??? your barrio doesnt have to have the name SOUTH S1D3 to be a Sureño, IM from Barrio EAST S1D3 LONGO X3 cuz were from the East Side of LONG BEACH but were still sureños because its sur of Califas and like any other sureño we got our ties with La Eme.

Yes they are Surenos. They are just very much hated by every other Sur hood just like XV3. They also claim that the 13 also stands for Mara. SouthSiders dont get along with SouthSiders, simple as that.

Man my position on this subject is like this. The 13 has become a fad just like the crip walk. I say this because so many young ones use the 13 to present they from Southern California or that they SouthSiders. The 13 has just become a new way for people to say they from Los Angeles. I agree. Houston is loaded with gangs that drop the 13 at the end of their name SWC 13, LRZ 13, MS 13, CM 13, you even see Sur 13 hit up on alot of walls down here. I doubt the majority of these kids even know where the 13 originated from, but back in the late 80's when I was a youngster the 13 was still being used by alot of sets.
