V Sunrise is still there, they are on the edge of Whittier, right next to Pico Rivera.

Sunrise is a old Varrio. My father in law is from Pico Nuevo and when he tells stories he brings up Sunrise quite a bit. He said they were with the biz back in the day. I wouldve though he would talk more about Rivera or Viejo but most were SR and Jardin.

I gotta good friend that stays over in their neighborhood...its off san gabriel pkwy or road & the 605. He says thats their area. Its one way in to that neighborhood where he lives. Its basically on the pico rivera/whittier border. When I drive into that neighborhood, theres a Sunrise tag on a wall thats been painted over but you can still see the letters. Its been there as long as my friend & his family have been over there (10 years). I dont know how deep or active they are....dont really see dudes posted up round there but police be driving through there alot.

im pretty familiar with almost all the varrio's ^^ from EAST LOS to the South’East L.A. area

but these vatos are a mystery to me

is it a small placaso or a regular size mural you're talking about?

I can pass there after work and see whats up

Trust me – that aint that far from me … and I’ve never seen any signs of them

Its a small little tag on a wall....they painted over the letters individually thats how I could see that it said Sunrise. I think the street is Springland. If u turn off San Gabriel River Pkwy onto Springland, the tag would be on the right side....I was just over there a few weeks ago & saw it. Its right as u enter but like I said it was a tag on a wall, not a huge mural.

My boy stays on Croton and he dont ever see signs of Sunrise either...a couple years ago, someone got smoked a few houses down from where he lives at but he wasnt sure if it had anything to do with Sunrise. He has family from CR & he was hearing things from them but he wasnt too sure.

Martinez-u ever hear of a varrio around that same area called BxA? I used to see their hit-ups on the west side of San Gabriel River Pkwy. I think I remember seeing them & Pico Viejo crossing each other out on the walls near the 7-11 on Rosemead.

I would have thought BxA is Black Angels ... but i think they alwasy hit up OBA for Ontario

anyways...

the big old varrios out in the Pico Rivera / Whittier /Santa Fe Springs area are ...

CANTA RANAS

LOS NIETOS

WHITTIER VARRIO LOCOS

SOUTH SIDE WHITTIER

RIVERA 13

PICO NUEVO

PICO VIEJO

off the top of my head ^^^ then you got a whole bunch of "hoods" that are more on "crew" status

just a few knuckle heads trying to keep shit alive

Invite homie, Im single again!..lol

Brown Brother hood is old school, but SELA has a bunch of lil party crews gangs: Brown Authority, Brown Union, Hustlers13, Wicked Marijuanos etc...They do actually try and bang with the more established Variios in the area though.

Pacheco's was on Atlantic, north of Hubbard.

Then there was The Lamplighter. Some nice looking women there, way better than Pacheco's. Some would come dress in revealing clothing, shaking there ass for a dollar, trying to set up a date to sell that ass. Again on Atlantic, just south of Olympic.

I'm sure these places have closed down by now.

Then there was that strip club, Nicolas. I use to hit that place a lot. I know you know about, Steven's Steak House. Gorgeous women there.

Yep, they're in the northeastern area of Pico, which is Pico Viejo territory (PV is north of the train tracks north of Whittier, PN is between the two sets of tracks and has the largest area, and R13 is everything south of the second set of tracks until Telegraph. Jardin is north of Whittier west of Paramount Boulevard and their hood as well as PV's hood have the look of old school varrios).

Where was Horseshoe at? They north of Whittier Blvd?

And is that PV turf over there around Durfee/Passons just north of Whittier?

A few years back when I was in North Hollywood, it looked like Pico Nuevo had set up out there...I think east/southeast of Radford St. They had that area all hit up.
