Harvard Park Brims

Brief History:This is the only Blood territory that is surrounded by Crips on all 4 sides of their turf. They have been constantly active since 1969, the first active year of the traditional black gangs of Los Angeles. They were known as the LA Brims then. They were originally 59 Brims, then Block Brims started by Terry Goudeau, then the 62 Brims came out. There is also 61 Brims. Jimmy Celestine who was killed in 1976/77 was a 59 Brim and active at the Round Table discussion to reduce gang violence. Terry Goudeau currently lectures about his past life and is an advocate for peace.

Kirkton Moore from this neighborhood was convicted for killing LAPD officer Daniel Pratt of the 77th Division. Pratt and his partner intercepted his vehicle at the Mobil gas station on Crenshaw and Florence. They were in an unmarked vehicle when Moore open fired on the two officers, killing Pratt instantly. At the time, Moore did not know he was shooting at two LAPD officers until it was broadcast on the news, then later on America's Most Wanted. Moore and his 17 year old female accomplice was captured and convicted. Moore was sentenced to two life sentences without the possibility of parole. He is currently appealing his conviction.
